Ideal location for walking to great restaurants, shops and the beach. A relaxing oasis in the heart of Laguna village. Outdoor amenities are outstanding. Property owners, Tara and Bruce were very accommodating and made us feel welcome. Absolutely loved our stay!

Over the years, we've stayed in numerous VRBO rentals along the coast of California and in Hawaii. All of them were nice, but we've never felt compelled to leave a review until now. We rented this guest house for a week and it is absolutely one of our favorite vacation rentals for multiple reasons. The location is perfect as it's located within a short walking distance of literally every place in Laguna Beach you'd likely want to visit (the beach, downtown area, restaurants, etc.). The house itself is great! It's a cute, beach bungalow-style cottage overlooking the hills and part of downtown. It's nicely decorated and very clean. It also has a wonderful patio area outside which includes a hot tub, TV, and a beautiful water feature. Last (but not least), the hosts (Tara and Bruce) are the most amazing hosts we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They provide many amenities that some other VRBO's we've stayed in have not (coffee, snacks, shampoo, etc.). They are also super nice and very responsive to their guests' questions and needs. They truly made us feel at home.We had an incredible experience there and will definitely try to book this house again should we return here in the future. If you are fortunate enough to find this place available during your planned visit, we highly recommend you book it immediately as it is very popular and is often unavailable. You will be very happy if you do!

Location, location, location…oh, and location. This cottage is ideal for your stay at Laguna Beach. It is steps away from the beach, downtown, restaurants, and the sawdust art festival. Everything is walkable. I was skeptical about the statement of park your car and forget about it, but it’s true. The cottage itself is set up well and has everything you’ll need for your stay. Inside and out, this place is amazing. Outside is a beautifully hardscaped patio area with a hot tub, a tv, bbq area, separate seating area and a beautiful waterfall feature. As amazing as the photographs are, they do not do it justice. Inside, you’ll enjoy a full kitchen, a large living room with a huge flatscreen tv, an extended nook area and private bedroom and bathroom. It is professionally cleaned and very well maintained. The air conditioning is fantastic and so is the cool ocean evening breeze. The host was incredibly communicative and the instructions for our stay were clear and easy to follow. My wife and I could not have been more satisfied with our experience. 10 out of 10.

Post-Conference Getaway

After concluding a conference in San Diego, my husband and I drove up the coast for a few nights in Laguna Beach before returning back to the East Coast. Tara’s place was perfect for us and she is a lovely and accommodating hostess! It was super clean, comfortable, quiet and well-appointed, inside and out. Great location, easy to find and just a short walk to town and the beach. It was so fun to immerse ourselves in the community for a few days.It is attached to the main house, but still very private. And the jacuzzi was such a treat, a relaxing way to end the day. We would stay here again and would definitely recommend it!

Great Home Base

Tara’s place is great! Comfortable, nicely appointed, with everything you need. The outdoor space and the hot tub are both a bonus. The best part was the location. We walked to so many areas of Laguna Beach, and exploring the Orange County coast was easy with this place as our home base. Great access to Crystal Cove and a ton of beaches.

Laguna Beach Getaway

My wife and I love Laguna Beach. We were so blessed to be able stay here and it was so nice and amazing. It’s such a warm and welcoming feel. We loved how open and bright it feels during the day. Then at night it’s cozy and romantic. We will stay here again for sure.

A Couple’s Retreat

Laguna Beach -what a great place

We were travelling from overseas and wanted more than a hotel room. The owner presented the place in a 5 star way, it felt large and was very private. Downtown was a block away and the beach was so close, easy walking distance. If you are heading to Laguna Beach you should book this place…highly rated

Pros and cons

Pros; The unit itself is adorable, and they have done their best to make it somewhat suitable for a couple. Cons; If you are 6’2 even in shape bring your shin guards as for the low set furniture, Hobbit land. Pro; The off street parking is a plus, and they are not asking too much as far as parking to the right as far as you can. Cons; By doing this, make sure you come with a backpack and purse as it blocks the extremely narrow over 20 step up entry with plantation not trimmed properly. Pro; The trolley is just down the street and the location is somewhat decent. Con; “a block from the beach” is literally a “stretch” it is all the way down Broadway which is quite far. Pro; The setup is small yet feasible if you plan on not unpacking. Con; The pictures make this unit look much larger than it is, and is very unsafe around the jacuzzi to where it drops off and there is no railing. Con; Showing up we could not use the code as others have specified. We had to use a reserve key, which made us uncomfortable that self admission by the owner the door sticks sometimes, The owner seemed irritated by this. Remember when booking what fees you are paying for. Walking up and down the stairway to dispose of your trash as long as it is not excessive is ridiculous. Pro; The landscape is nice. I would recommend this to a business person, however bring AirPods for the road noise, and unexpected non-privacy by the city. From previous responses she’s a bit stand-offish and was condescending.

Best Little Getaway!

This property is beautiful. Everything you would ever need is within walking distance. The owner is kind, helpful, and responsive. All instructions were easy and clearly marked. She even had a little snack tray for us and coffee amenities. We will be back again! ♥️
