We have been staying at the Honua Kai regularly since it opened. The villa's are relatively new since they were not part of the initial phase. We chose this property since it is one of the few villa's with a partial ocean view as well as being closer to the towers. The towers are where all the onsite amenities are located (gym, towels, spa, market, front desk, etc.).We really enjoyed the quiet of the villa as you only have a few neighbors and have the benefit of your own pool/spa shared amongst a handful of villa's versus sharing the larger pool area with the towers. The large lanai was a great spot to enjoy the partial ocean view, bbq and enjoy the outdoors. Inside, the unit is nicely done with plenty of shared space and nice size bedrooms. The villa also has it's own garage which was much more convenient for groceries and coming and going versus parking in a structure or valet each time.As a long time guest of Honua Kai, it's a great property and enjoy staying there. Only issues are the gym is very outdated now and could use a refresh along with a more robust market in the tower. They used to have a really nice one but it closed during covid and what's remaining it's very bare bones. Will definitely be going back to Honua Kai and staying at the villa's again.

Perfect Getaway

The place was a perfect landing spot at the end of the day. Its location was perfect for a day at the beach or finding things to do on the island. Enjoyed hanging out with the family on the lanai and swimming at the smaller pool. Communication and check in was easy. Will definitely rebook next time we come to Maui.

Absolutely perfect home for a family vacation

We absolutely loved the layout, decor and location of this villa. We had access to all of the resort amenities and also had our own private pool in the enclave. Each bedroom had comfortable king-size beds and wonderful bathrooms. My husband and I are early risers so we enjoyed having our own private patio to enjoy our morning coffee and view and not bother the rest of our family! The kitchen had everything we needed and the patio was conducive to family games and conversations with wine! It was hard to leave for sure!

Beautiful villa and property

This was our first stay on this property and we will absolutely be back. The villa was beautiful and beautifully appointed. Every detail was thought of and our stay was fun, relaxing and care free. The property/resort is great, especially for small kids and families. There is something for everyone very close by.

Amazing everything!

The property is beautiful, the location and grounds as well! Short walk to the beach and all the pools. Towels are provided everywhere. Used the wagon for all the beach stuff as well. Plenty of amenities. Enjoyed the lanai/patio to the fullest. Highly recommend!

Amazing!!

This property is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful, new and clean. The property management was excellent, answered all questions promptly. You get the fun feel and amenities of large resort, while at the same time having privacy and your own garage. No crowded lobbies or elevators. The enclave pool was never busy and a great place for my family to decompress at the end of the day. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back!!

Maui - End of May 2022

With three adult couples looking to share a vacation home while on Maui we thought this villa would fit and correct we were! Perfect location on the kaanapali side of Maui. 11 min. drive to Front street and the resort is better than just OK - fabulous. Clean, neat, felt like we were the 1st to stay in this villa! Perfect spot with three bedrooms / 3 full baths / kitchen / great patio / BBQ area on the patio / garage with 6 beach chairs, umbrella's, and everything we needed for a short walk to the beach. I'd recommend bringing some swim shoes. 4 of the 6 of us caught a few rocks that needed a bandaid after swimming out in front of the resort. Happens quick and while didn't require any serious medical attention - still a pair of water shoes for the beach in highly recommended. Great to have a keyless wristband that gets you in and out of the villa / beach or pool towels, enjoyed having laundry facilities in the villa as i don't think any of us brought home many dirty clothes. Villa 1D was exceptional - so nice to pull right up to your door and have a place to park the rental car. Honestly, great place to call home for a stay on maui! Fabulous!

Perfect place to spend a week.....

Great on all fronts, accommodated an early check-in, had some basics like coffee filters and olive oil and stuff that people usually toss out, easy access to everything, great parking spot in front, responsive management (responded within minutes every time)

One word: awesome!

This was an absolutely lovely property. The layout of the unit is great. The finishes are really, really nice. The appliances are top notch, especially the bbq and the oven. Everything is there for ya. The location is good. Slaughterhouse Beach, just up the road, is an absolute gem, and not crowded. The only negative was the COVID nonsense at check in. Why does the hotel need to see everyone's COVID test results? We had to show those to even get on the flight to Maui to begin with. Get off it already. But the property itself is just as advertised. If anything, even better.

Fabulous Maui Stay!

Our family came together, post covid, to celebrate our twins graduation from college and a milestone bday formy husband. We travel a lot and I’m also a professional property manager so I have really high standards!! Villa was huge and very well appointed. Everything we needed was there. Fabulous location right next to Dukes where we dined twice. Really loved the patio and outside seating and entertaining area. Separate AC zones for bedrooms were greatly appreciated. The property manager was excellent, responding quickly and very easy to work with. We would absolutely book this place again. -Kellee D

Perfect!

This is the perfect 3 bedroom condo fir a family. We stayed nearly 3 weeks. Plenty of space fir everyone. Loved the large lanai with peekaboo view of ocean. Super convenient location. The place is practically brand new. Highly recommend it!

New clean property with all the amenities

This place was awesome! Within walking distance to the pools, beach, grocery, and restaurants. Short drive to Whalers Village and Lahaina. Property was new, clean and well stocked! Can’t think of anything else we could have needed that wasn’t provided. Highly recommend!
