Another couple and my wife and I splurged and stayed at this beautiful but very expensive condo for the week, primarily for it's close proximity to and beautiful views of the beach shown on the rental pics. Before arriving, I got an email that there would be exterior work that shouldn't last a day. Assuming it was only one day, we weren't concerned. When we arrived, there was scaffolding and equipment around one side of the condo, which blocked the view from 1 of 2 master suites and partially blocked view from dining room, and which remained for entire visit. Workers were onsite all day M-Thur, sometimes on the lanai, and making it awkward at times. By midweek, I sent an email with pics complaining about the work and loss of views, and requested some compensation. I got a prompt reply offering an apology, excuses that it's out of their control, and a (frankly condescending) suggestion that I should be getting out and enjoying Maui. But no compensation or even offer of a free meal. I understand they may not have control over upgrades and maintenance, but they have full control over price and partial refund.
On a positive note, when someone isn't working on your lanai, there is a beautiful view of and easy access to Oneloa Beach, which I appreciated as an avid open water swimmer and snorkeler.
Lots of ants, but I'm assuming that's due to location.
Living room, bedrooms, bathrooms very spacious.
Oddly, no beach toys or boogies boards included.
We had good time despite the issue, but we feel cheated.
Since there is no guarantee that you get what you paid for, I can not recommend this condo.
