We have stayed at the Honua Kai resort multiple times since the early 2000s and always have a wonderful time. We were very impressed with the check in/out process and whenever we reached out to the host for a request (trash bags, fan, etc) we were taken care of right away. A few things to note that take this property from 5 to 4 stars: The biggest inconvenience for our group is that there are not two queen beds in the 3rd room, but a full and twin. It worked for our party, but there's no way you can fit two couples in that room as the capacity suggests. The unit is also in the hustle of the resort, so you hear everything, which was not an issue for us outside of having to hear Duke's squeaky exhaust belt all day when we were out on the lanai. We had a little one who took multiple naps a day so we were out there a lot. We understand that that's out of the host's control, but think it's still worth mentioning. Overall, we were happy with the unit and look forward to visiting Honua Kai in the future.
