Really enjoyed our stay. The space was perfect for the 2 of us. No need for a TV (there was a large tv) when you have an amazing view of Lanai and the ocean. Evenings on the patio, enjoying the breeze was a wonderful way to revisit the day. Great complex and location. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect stay!

This rental is amazing. What a view. We are frequent visitors to Maui and this was our first trip back since the fires. We’ve most recently stayed in Lahaina town so needed to look elsewhere. Very familiar with Ka’anapali and chose Honua Kai. We will be back! Highly recommend!

A Cozy Little Corner of Paradise

Honua Kai

Absolutely wonderful stay. Spectacular view, pool service and we love eating at Duke's but didn't know their breakfasts were so good...plus a small Whaler's Village store on property. My husband had meetings but I had everything I needed here. Large foyer feels like a hotel, not a condo. Quick drive to the busier part of Kaanapali, less than 10 minutes. I'm in love...and w've been coming to Maui and Kauai for 44 years !!!!

Honua Kai never disappoints!! From well manicured grounds to pristine pools and lobby area, we are always happy with our accommodations. Room #933 was an absolute delight, with the magnificent views overlooking the resort and ocean. We are planning our next visit already!

Hokulani Tower 933

Staff and grounds were all amazing! The room is a suite, perfect for a couple. The views from the room are great and overlook one of the pools and ocean. Close to Dukes and can hear the live music from your lanai. Great having an ice chest and beach chairs in the room. Can’t complain about our experience here other than the icemaker freezing up. There is an icemaker in the parking garage so we loaded up the ice chest and we were just fine. We will definitely be back!

Paradise

We didn’t want to leave! The room had everything we needed and more. We had a very small issue accessing beach towels but that wasn’t the condo managements fault. I only mention it because I wanted to let everyone know that the property management company was very responsive and fixed the problem immediately. The resort grounds were so clean and the room was immaculate when we arrived. Every morning we had breakfast on the lanai while watching whales (bring binoculars in the winter months). We didn’t want to leave! Mahalo!

First time in Maui. These accommodations were top notch . Clean with great views. Boardwalk in back of hotel goes for miles. Duke’s restaurant located on site. This place great for kids .

Great place!

Great service! Originally when we booked, we didn’t read that they would have scaffolding in front of our balcony so it was a bit upsetting when we go there. We spoke with the property manager and the service was great! We ended up with no scaffolding the last 2 days which was nice. Property was beautiful, ocean was great and the bed was super comfortable. Highly recommend!

Maui beach walks

We loved this place. The studio had everything the three of us needed. The pull out sofa bed was comfortable for our daughter. The kitchen had all the essentials and washer/ dryer was convenient to have in the studio, however the dryer was a little finicky. The location was perfect. Easy access to the beach and beach location had good snorkelling. Appreciated the beach chairs and snorkelling equipment. The pool is on the small side and busy. The lanai was great - we could watch the sunset every night 😊. Thanks for a magical trip staying at a great place.

Great View!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and highly recommend! The space was clean, as pictured, and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The property amenities including the convenience stores, Dukes, and pools were nice to have onsite. We actually have stayed at both towers and preferred this one for the view!

Just say yes!

The resort is great -very clean and comfortable We loved the beach and easy access to explore this side of the island. The studio is small but my girls and I are on the petite side and get along well so it was perfect for us. We were out most of day and I loved my morning coffee and post sunset on the balcony. (Sunset is great on balcony but the beach view is the best!) Great views all around! The bed and sleeper sofa was comfortable and appreciated the chairs and umbrella -we used them often! Dukes restaurant is very busy but reservations are not needed for breakfast and lunch. You can be added to dinner waitlist -otherwise schedule reservations in advance -incl all other things you’d like to do. The concierge was fabulous in getting us a last minute reservation for the zip line but if you come during peak season it is tough to get in anywhere last minute. We stayed here for our first week (staying two) and it was perfect for us. We also loved the old Lahaina Lu’au (I booked that months ago!). There is also a Safeway close by (4 miles) or and general store on site. There is salt pepper and oil in condo and I appreciate d the coffee! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Room 933 has Nice Views

Lovely complex, clean studio unit, nice little patio with ocean views, ample parking. Kitchen equipped w/ utensils/coffee mkr/skillets, salt/pepper but had no dishwashing detergent, foil, etc. Unless you want to hand wash you must buy dw detergent. They do provided mini 1oz shampoo/cond/soap so bring your own. No blankets supplied, just layered sheets. We appreciated the use of 2 beach chairs, umbrella, soft cooler & the gifted bag of local coffee. The pools are nice. Duke's food is really good & offers dine in & take out. Beach is rocky, need water shoes! Saw turtles at beach and whales from beach & our unit plus decent snorkeling just off this beach. Everything in the unit worked and was well maintained. Negative: Our friends/family renting two other units received huge welcome baskets w/ cookies, candy, lei's, champagne. Their bath was stocked w/ full size shampoo/soap, kitchen supplies & offered use of tons of cool beach gear (boogie boards, snorkle gear, pails/shovels, chairs, wagon to haul items to beach...). They were also easily accommodated in advance with late check-out (at 5pm) where our unit 933 property mgr said no (even for $$) but to call back when we arrived and ask again! When we called upon arrival as instructed they gave us until noon (2 hrs) and then they were knocking on our door at 11:45am & again AT noon. Overall, nice just lacked that vrbo welcome that others received and felt more like holiday inn.
