We stayed at this property, in a different unit managed by a different host, one year ago. It was because of that exceptional stay that we booked again. However, in this unit that was available at a much higher rate than we paid last year, there were problems. The portable AC units were extremely loud and did not allow for us to open windows/doors where they were installed in every room. The carpet and rugs were soiled in many places. For the high cleaning fee, it should have been cleaned more thoroughly. Our outdoor furniture set-up was soiled with bird droppings and was missing a sofa. When we asked for a replacement, we were not given one. Our TV in the main living area had to be replaced with a smart TV, and hot water had to be recalibrated on our first day, too. We LOVE Maui, and this property, but this unit & stay experience was not nearly as nice as last year.
