“Our room”

“This is a hard review to write fairly. I loved the location and the vibe of the hotel, and it was full of Highland character and interest. It has huge potential to be a luxury lodge hotel but has become tired and worn. There has been some attempt to upgrade the bedrooms with a very good bed and decent shower but other elements are out dated, worn or damaged. During our visit the hotel was seriously short of staff but those there worked hard to make our stay a success and the food in the...

“Run by Husband and Wife who were very accommodating and very friendly, Food plentiful and excellent. Watching Red Deer grazing while eating our evening meal.”

“Very lovely stay in the pod. It was clean and cozy and comfortable. We did not receive the instructions for how to check in but contacted the host and solved the problem. It was stressful because there is very little internet access in that area. The beautiful beach is a short walk away.”

“They said the cooker was broken however we feel that they should have had someone to repair it asap. We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices. The other thing that...

“Wonderful host and a wonderful place to have breakfast with a view. Would highly recommend this place as you travel the north coast 500.”

“We pitched up on a dull afternoon and were delighted with our room. Spacious and with a bathroom with a bath. The chef was sick so we decided having a few options to have some food in the room and enjoy the tv. A nice tray was brought up with soup and cold meats focaccia etc. All very nice in the circumstances.”

“Een leuke hostel vlak bij het strand. Wij hadden een kamer met 2 1persoons bedden. Bedden waren goed beddengoed schoon. Medegasten in slaapzaaltje naast ons, smeten erg met de deuren. Er zat een zware dranger op de deur, zodat deze met klap dichtviel. Ik schrok daar steeds wakker van. Dat je pas om 17.00uur kon inschrijven vond ik heel laat en een nadeel.”
