You get what you pay for

Staff is very friendly and pleasant and check in and check out were quick and easy. However, the room (primarily floors) was dirty when I arrived, including a nearly dead cockroach in the closet. Bathtub was grimy. Windows had some cobwebs. Mini fridge and microwave were in need of a good scrub and had some unpleasant odors. The location is not great and the facilities overall seem to be neglected. The door to my room did not seal completely and the bottom corner could actually be kicked in. The bathroom mirror was not attached to the wall but instead leaning against the wall in the closet. For a non-smoking room, I payed about $60/night including taxes and fees which I think is a bit high considering the condition but not terrible. I did not make any complaints or requests concerning the condition of my room because I personally don't care, so I do not know how accommodating the staff would be, but I think that they would be more than happy to switch rooms or take care of any issues upon request.

The actual name of the hotel is NOT OYO hotel, it’s called Scottish in. The receptionist was extremely rude and had an attitude with each question you’d ask. There’s a really really bad smell is all the rooms, on top there being an rodent problem. And to put the icing on the cake, they’re cleaning crew claims to not speak English, which isn’t really a problem for me until it is a problem. My mom was in the room half way dressed, first a lady came into the room without even knocking, claiming to only be there to replace towels, (Which they charged a $5.75 cleaning fee so I was assuming they’d come to clean the entire room after us pointing out the dead roaches in each corner of the place) so we kept trying to get her to understand that she needed to leave and come back once my mom was dressed. She leaves and goes to get a guy who also act as if he didn’t speak English, at this point my mom is furious because she’s still undressed. He walks in and starts to take the sheets off the bed and started sweeping, we’re constantly asking asking him to leave, his only response was he didn’t speak English. EVERYONE SHOULD BE ABLUT TO UNDERSTAND GET OUT. If that’s too hard for you to learn in English, you really have some self checking to do. It was absolutely terrible.

This hotel was nothing like the photos it was very ghetto and uncomfortable that my wife rather lost out on our money and we went to get another room somewhere else

Just don't

Mold on the walls in the bathroom. Could not get a decent temp in the room. I kept having to get up and turn it up or down. Bed was not comfortable. The office was closed due to Covid-19 so no coffee and no coffee maker in the room. Less then 1/4 roll of toilet paper.

Cleanliness and very helpful owner

Very good quality price. Though the environment is so so, the motel itself is clean and well kept. Not too far from downtown, easily accessible, and next to McDo, Checkers and a very convenient seafood shack, Steamboat Bill, where we ate on the motel's owner recommendation. The portions are fair sized and are reasonably priced. We had an order for 2 and it was enough.

just an overnite on out way across country....room was clean & comfortable....cool enough....had continental breakfast....wasn't in the better part of town but no problem seem or noted....thanks

Hotel looked very careworn and very old!!

I had some small difficulty checking in when I presented my paid-in-full receipt from online the clerk seemed to take a long time to realize that it was for a 2 day reservation. When we returned to the room from our first day's excursion, our room keys would not allow us to get into the room so my wife had to go to the office where she found out that they had been deactivated. Then, when it started raining later that evening, the bathroom ceiling leaked when someone was seated upon the toilet which was most annoying!! All in all, this was a very disappointing motel and the room was of exceedingly inferior quality as was the service!!

A little run down, but not bad for one night.

For the price, it was clean and comfortable enough. The shower was the biggest gripe I had, having a dead bug stuck on the wall. The staff was a bit cold and unavailable for check out in the morning as well. Still, it was overall not too bad.

Cheap rates, no frills.

For what we paid, it was good. The quality of the hot was poor, and 'breakfast' is a doughnut, or cold cereal.

No! Don't do it!

I usually don't write bad reviews unless it is warranted... And this is! Stayed 1 night and it could not go by fast enough. Lots of activity (I'm pretty sure illegal) going on at ALL times of the day/night. People hanging out, probably mostly those that LIVE at this MOTEL. Pool was green. Rooms were nasty and I was afraid to sit on anything. Our toilet wouldn't flush so we had to DEMAND a new room around 10pm and they acted as if we were like all the rift raft walking around outside!!! NEVER AGIAN in my life will I stay there... I'd rather sleep in my car on the side of the road. Breakfast was a choice between corn flakes, raisin bran, or a honey bun. :(
