Lake side family friendly place at Bolton Landing

Great place to stay with family. Amazing views of Lake George right from the room and the deck. Kids friendly and access to the lake. Bolton landing downtown is very close and awesome with some great restaurants

The view from the balcony outside room 3 was beautiful. The room was clean and cozy and perfect for our two-day getaway. Only issue if I had to pick one was the Wi-Fi didn't reach to where the bed is located in the back of the room (we didn't really need it) We just like to scroll the internet before falling asleep. I would recommend this place to my friends and families

The rooms were very dark. They need more lighting over the bed and the kitchen area. Also, a few towel racks would have been great. There was no place in the bathroom to put a wet towel.

The cabins were very comfy. I wish there was a kitchenette in smaller rooms. The pool with a view, the porch with a view and the lake with kayaks were great!

The scene next to this resort is beautiful. I would not recommended because the owner is scary. When we checked in, he said my phone in on all the time. Call me if any question. When we got into the room and found out there was no tap water. We called him and asked some questions. He was screaming and yelling “god damn it. Don’t call me again “. When we were on our way to the resort, I received a phone call from this owner. He asked if we were coming. I told him we were heading there. He said ok and didn’t mention there was no tap water. Customs must think twice before you book this resort.

The property was fine. The owner is arrogant rude and just plain awful. We had a 3 o’clock check in. He was out on a boat and didn’t bother to let us in even after I called ahead to ask for a possible early check in. He swore at me and was plain awful

Text book definitions of Tourists trap.

Writing about this place seems like a waste of time since I didn’t care about all those bad reviews and red flags before my booking. But here I am. I thought the place looked great in pictures and locations seemed almost perfect but started regretting right after setting feet on the premises. We arrived at 2:30pm and saw owner’s daughter at the check in door. She told us the check in starts at 3pm and slammed the door in our face and locked the door. Tried to ask if there’s any restrooms available for us to use but she refused to open the door. Finally at 3:05pm we were able to check in and was told immediately we would have to pay cash or 3.5% more if we used credit card. There were so many other extra fees that wasn’t mentioned in Hotel.com’s description. Ours final amount was at least $150 more than what we supposed to pay. Premium suits for 6 people. 2 queen bed and 1 sofa bed. Guess what Sofa bed was broken. Bedrooms were somewhat clean but everything we were touching in that place was crumbling. The kitchen faucet tilted immediately when tried to use it. Their outside BBQ grill was place in the yard two flights of stairs down and there was no light. And my oh my the grill was dirtiest grill I have ever seen. We cleaned the grill and tried to grill some meat and guess what the burners were low. The gas canister was full but flame didn’t go up. So we more like smoked the meat with propane than grilling. It’s a shame what they’re doing with such a beautiful place.

The property is well maintained and the staff is friendly. The owner, Bob, has no business running anything having to do with customer service/hospitality. He made us switch rooms and tried to blame it on Expedia. When I asked about it, he got nasty with me and my husband and told us to never come back.

Units looked ok from the outside, inside however, it was dark and dingy looking. The furniture was very dated and not well laid out. We paid for 2 nights, but when we came back to the unit for the second night, we saw a couple entering our unit! They immediately knew that it was already occupied, so they went back to the office. 30 minutes later the owner’s daughter came over and said that they had us as “no shows”,the previous evening, and that we had not paid! She was very nasty, so I asked how on earth could we have been “no Shows” when our luggage was inside the unit, we were given the numbers to unlock the door to the unit and I had a receipt from our credit card from the previous day when her father checked us in. As for the photo on their website, that was the only unit that had that view. We saw the parking lot and the fence around the swimming pool! Never again!

Cute cabins and brook was nice. Good location not far from the village. The only issue we had was the bed frame was broken and kept feeling like the bed was going to tip over. We were only staying for one night but would have needed to change room if longer. Although the cabins are old it was clean and roomy.

Bathroom did not flush and no hot water in the bathroom. Outdoor light we got 1 day before checkout. Had to BBQ In the dark.

Apart from the gruff host, who could use a few Dale Carnegie sessions, the nice room we rented had no end tables beside the beds (plenty of room for them) and no desk-top lighting, only two lights in the ceiling. No coffee maker, nothing but a bar of soap in the bathroom, TV that offered mostly PPV, including porn. And the price was steep, much too steep for the chinczy appointments provided. Would recommend NOT going there.
