What a wonderful stay! My husband and I stayed the weekend for The World's Largest Garage Sale (definitely a fun event).As soon as we walked in, the house had a cozy feel....exactly like the posted photos.I based my decision to book this house on all the previous reviews stating how clean everything was....and they were all correct!It's a great house with a very welcoming feel.

Winter Getaway

Everything about this place is exactly what our family needed for a winter weekend getaway. Game room kept the kids busy, cabin was extremely cozy. Local ice skating and sledding was great.

Perfect!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property so much! We may have to return next time we are in the area. It had everything we needed, including a wide variety of kitchen supplies. The kids enjoyed the basement activities (ping pong especially!). We loved how secluded it was but also easy to get to nearby towns.

Secluded cabin on a quiet road

Great communication with the property manager, including a text from a local representative who said to call with any issues. This cabin is clearly a rental, but the furnishings were nice, mattresses and bedding good, and enough cooking items in the kitchen to cook meals if one so desires. The deck is strung with lights that are on a timer, so if you drive up at night, it is lighted and not completely dark. 4 stars for cleanliness as there were quite a few ants when we stayed. While they had traps set up in the kitchen area, we saw them on the second and first floor all 4 days we were there, and not just on the floor but on the walls and tables/sinks/counters. I let the property manager know, so hopefully they will have an exterminator come out and clear the issue. Hopefully, they do as this is a wonderful property and that was the only thing that prevented us from giving it 5 starts

Family fun!

The Hideaway Chalet is beautifully decorated, and provides a lot of in house entertainment. It was super cozy to come back to at the end of each day being out and about. I’d love if it was a little closer to everything, but other than that, it was everything we expected.

Great home for one week!

House looked as good as it did in the photos. Very clean. It had a washer and dryer. Wonderful kitchen for making meals: sharp knives, plenty of utensils and plates, etc., nice big gas stove. Game room was fun. WiFi worked. Lots of living space, lots of closet space. Master mattress was a little firm for our tastes. Really nice sofas. House was nicely decorated. Definitely recommend it!

Everything we wanted and more

The house is immaculate. Exactly as it appears in the ad. There was nothing we could want that wasnt supplied. Plenty of comfortable lounging, sleeping and eating space. 2 full bathrooms. Kitchen fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses and intensive. We utilized the BBQ. The kids loved the game room. Stopped in Grand Union for groceries. The route in is very dark at night. 20 mins to Lake George and a quick 3.5 hour drive from Western Long Island. We had an amazing stay. Hope to do it again.

Lake Cabin Summer Fun

Our group of 5 friends gathered at Hideaway Chalet this past weekend for a wonderful and relaxing stay in the greater Lake George region. The house was clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed to enjoy ourselves and relax at home. It was decorated very nicely and had plenty of space to cook and hang out. It was also located in a convenient area to reach various Lake George related activities within a very reasonable driving distance. We were able to rent a boat (Little Harbor Boat Rentals), go hiking (the Pinnacle) and explore the nearby town(s) within 25 minutes of the property. The only small hiccup was that the thermostat would switch off in the middle of the night despite setting the temp to remain until a set time and cell service in the area is spotty. Neither minor issue managed to impact our overall enjoyment of the property and ability to explore the area. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Stay was great but very disappointed the upstairs shower was not functional and had to share the shower with the couple we were with. Completely unacceptable.

Amazing Cabin on the woods

We had a wonderful time at the chalet. Just like the pictures it was beautiful. Tripp lake a short walk was a priceless view. We brought our own paddle boards and fishing poles. Made for a great afternoon. House had everything we needed. Chalet was also close to lake George. We will definitely be back. We will definitely be back.

Vacation at Hideaway Chalet
