Renter beware! The pictures do not match the property. At one time this was an amazing house but now everything is rundown, unmaintained, dirty and not in working order. Prior to our stay we saw newly added reviews stating the hot tub amongst other items were not working, we contacted the host to verify all was fixed before we arrived. We were assured all was good. When we arrived, the hot tub, video games, water activities, gates, deck swings all were not able to be used. We were only staying for the weekend so we had no time to change houses. After the stay we contacted vrbo to inform them. They agreed the property was not as discribed. After weeks of trying to get a response from the host to receive some sort of compensation, vrbo told us we have to negotiate directly with the host. My stay in November still has yet to be settled. 300 refund on every reason we rented this property not working is unacceptable! Choose a different rental! The lake and area are amazing!

We did not check in and were charged anyway, A couple days before checkin we were told Spa/Hot Tub doesn’t work. The main reason we selected the property. We asked to cancel w/refund & they were not budging. Said sorry and that’s it. Awful customer service. Lied about amenities.

From the beginning I was assured that the reviews prior had been addressed and taken care of. The host consistently informed me my concerns were addressed, especially emphasizing on the amenities. If I wanted a bed only and a kitchen we could have found that at a hotel. We emphasized it was our anniversary weekend I normally do not have 1,791.00 and really stretched it to make this a great weekend. We arrived at night it looked great light and ambiance in the dark. Jacuzzi was ice cold we turned the jets on thinking it will warm up not true after waiting hours to enjoy our anniversary it remained a cold plunge. Then we discovered we were not safe the back door was broken. We alerted the host they sent someone the next day. We informed them we have a family gathering to attend of course we couldn’t make it. We waited for the door to be repaired the maintenance man informed us the jacuzzi won’t be getting hot but here is a hose to add hot water. What about PH and chemicals we don’t know nor have any for that. So you want my Nani in this water and I’m sorry according to the test strips we took the water properly set with PH and chlorine. Again another day ruined. Why did you stay we were asked because we are not rich and this was my anniversary weekend I didn’t have extra money.The home you have to cover couches and outside swing, the barbecue was so filthy I was not going to use it. The showers held hot water to only 5-8 minutes. The canopy swings at the dock were bad

Unfortunately, our experience was poor. The hot tub did not heat up at all. We asked the property manager team to please send someone over to fix the issue from day one but all they kept doing is for us to fix their issue. We wasted a few hrs trying to fix the issue with no results, so we were not able to enjoy what we paid for. The gas grill was unusable due to the fact that has not been cleaned in like six months. I personally spent over an hour cleaning it so we could use it. ( I have pictures) over all the house was just dirty and unmaintained. SAD as the house & property could be great if they spent some time maintaining it. They said they would compensate for the issues we’ve had, but will probably never see anything.

Grill utensils prior to us even use anything.

The whole exterior of the house was this dirty. As I said a quick power wash could make this house a lot better. I understand it’s on a lake and we get bugs, but this has not been clean for many many months.

Grill unusable until we spent over an hour cleaning it. The gas ports were completely covered in grease.

Big disappointment

This was a huge disappointment overall! Let’s start with check in, got there walked through the doors and was beach sand on floor, the kitchen was dirty dishes in sink. Then the owner is asking us what are we doing there and we replied we rented it for a week. He didn’t have no idea we were even booked. In fact there was another family that was supposed to be there and they left the house after two hours of being there. So it was double booked. We could’ve walked in on a family and we would’ve had to go home!! Let’s get to the pool, it was mismanaged from the beginning and not clean. We called back to owner and he had to send somebody else to shock it and then we couldn’t get in it from all the chemicals they used for 36 hours after. Or until it was clearer. That was what pool man recommended to us. This place was nice and polished at one time, majority needs TLC bad. Kitchen isn’t organized missing a lot, cabinets are basic at best. Things just thrown in draws not organized. Game room was nice but two of the games didn’t work. Pool table was dirty. I could keep on but owner needs to go look at his house and realize that things are not getting kept up with. And deep clean the house inside and outside. This place has so much potential and we were so disappointed with it overall. And to top it off the morning we had to leave the master bed toilet when flushed came up in shower And the 2nd bathroom wouldn’t flush either. I will say the beds and pillows are soft and big.
