Casa de pueblo con encanto en Hillcrest

Encantadora casa de pueblo de cinco dormitorios en el corazón de Lake Placid, a una cuadra a pie del lago, frente a la playa, la pista de patinaje, las tiendas y restaurantes de Main Street.
Le encantará esta casa original de Lake Placid, actualizada y bien mantenida con una amplia sala de estar y comedor, chimenea de leña, cocina totalmente equipada, amplio espacio para su equipo deportivo y un gran estacionamiento en la parte trasera para hasta 5 vehículos.

Sam was communicative, kind and clear with instructions for the stay. The house was clean and as pictured. Kitchen was well equipped. Location was terrific, and we had a very lovely time.

New Year’s at Lake Placid

Great location. Very comfortable home for 7 adults. Bedrooms and bathrooms as expected. Other than a little updating , the house is perfect. We had plenty of room and so enjoyed gathering in the living room and the dining room. Would definitely stay there again.

Ski trip excitement

The house is perfectly located in the downtown so it's mere minutes to walk to everything to do on the main street. Whiteface is just 15 minutes away too. House is spacious but cozy and has everything you need for your trip. Highly recommended!

Family trip

Location of the house and the front porch were our favorite parts! It was also well stocked with household items. Most of the outlets were two prong outlets so make sure to bring an adapter if you need it for laptops and whatnot. Overall, a nice stay!

Family reunion

Our daughters family lives in Lake Placid, but there was too many of us to fit in her house. This house was in a great location and could easily walk downtown. The house was quite comfortable, but very dated. We had a great time.

Great house close to town

Sam was really great about questions and requests we had. Probably the best VRBO owner I've dealt with over the years. House is old and needs updating but it was very clean. No problems. Great location. We walked to dinner every night because parking can be challenging. Teens were able to walk to town on their own. Felt safe. All around great trip. Thank you Sam!

Great Ironman Location

We booked this house for our Ironman Race. The location was about as good as you can get. Close to main street, walking distance to Mirror lake for swim and the Ironman event. We utilized virtually all of the house between the front porch that we lounged in through the day to the side area with Grill where we cooked out virtually every morning and night. The house had everything we needed for cooking, grilling, relaxing and being ready for the race. It was nice to have a close location for the family to go to and from during the day and also easy for us to get home after the event. The property managers were very responsive to all needs and was always quick to to respond to any communication. Overall, it was just a great location that had everything we needed for the week.

The house with its five bedrooms well suited our group of adults and one toddler. The kitchen was equipped with everything one would need. However, the carving knives need sharpening. The dining area accommodates a large group. The living room was comfortable. There is only one television. One of our party wasn't interested in watching football and wished there was a second television. The downside to our visit was encountered immediately. The driveway had at least four inches of snow and should have been plowed. The driveway is also very narrow. The listing lists five parking spots. This is probably true in the summer, but we struggled to park our four cars. There was no room for a fifth car. If someone in our group had had a truck, only two cars would have been able to also park. There is no street parking. The house can only be entered from the front. The walkway to the house was in need of shoveling. The stairs up to the porch were very icy. Four of our party are senior citizens. One slipped and almost fell entering the house. There are no railings to help one climb the stairs to enter the house. We tried to clear the steps with the available shovel, but it was inadequate. We had to buy a shovel. I did call the owner about the snow, but he never connected back to me. Please note the backdoor is the entrance to a renter who lives in the back of the house.

Spacious house in a great location

Perfect location for a Lake Placid visit in a wonderfully spacious and comfortable home. Everything was exactly as pictured and described, the owner was very communicative and responsive, and the house exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay next time we visit LP.

Quaint house in great location

We stayed for a week in this house in a quiet, residential neighborhood just two blocks from Main Street in Lake Placid. The web site was very accurate in portraying the property, including all of the 5 bedrooms. The owner was particularly responsive and helpful. We cracked the coffee carafe while cleaning it, and he sent another one right away without issue. He helped with another minor issue, quickly resolving it remotely. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would stay here again.

Holiday Break

This is an older and dated house. This house has a lot of advantages. The location is very good, short walk to main street, has good parking, close to Whiteface and the attractions (Mt Van Hoevenberg, Ski Jumps , Saranac Lake and more). The house is clean and well stocked. Sam is easy to work with and he is responsive. We had a comfortable stay.

Amazing location close to downtown Lake Placid

Great location - just a short walk up the hill from Main Street. Sam was a super friendly host and easy to communicate with. Great wifi for those looking to work remotely. The house itself is low frills but had everything we needed to be comfortable - we are a low maintenance group. There's an apartment below the house but I never saw/heard the people who live there (we just had to make sure there was room for their car to get in/out of the driveway, which had plenty of parking space!). Overall great experience and we would definitely stay there again.
