This beautifully appointed, newly renovated, historic Lake Placid home is now available! This is the original home of the family who founded and operated the "North Pole, Santa's Village." In tribute to their family and all of the 'spirit' they have given so many, the home is now known as The Claus Family Lodge. This home has character like no other. Artisanship, and architecture only found in Lake Placid in the 40's has been modernized and is now available for all to enjoy. The living area exhibits expansive windows with views of White Face Mountain and the famous glacier Lake Placid. In addition, the house is only a five minute walk to Mirror Lake with all of its shops and internationally renowned restaurants. Claus Family Lodge is equipped with a Huge (20x40)Volley Ball /Badminton with a sand court, BBQ gas grill, large fire pit, hot tub, an additional lot with kids play ground, horse shoes and more. Inside there are new amenities a foosball table, pingpong table, 2 -80 inch flat smart Tv's, a modern and upgraded kitchen with beautiful slate floors, Carrara Granite countertops, 3 fireplaces, 7 bedrooms and best of all, the Lodge will comfortably accommodate 16.The Lodge has a double lot which has a children's play ground. The family room has gorgeous original barn wood walls, a wet bar, heated floors, a fireplace and furniture that is wonderfully cozy and inviting. The Hot tub is super easily accessible from the sliding glass doors. The kitchen has been upgraded with brand new appliances, 2 ice makers.. 2 refrigerators, double sink, beautiful granite, slate floor, pots, pans, toaster oven, fondue maker, blender, mixer, and Oneida silverware to complement the Mikasa Calder Red dish setting for 26. The dinning room has 2 -106 inch tables and close by is a 54 inch round to easily serve meals or play cards at the same time. Around the corner is the living room with a comfy curved couch, marble fireplace and beautiful large windows to view Whiteface and Lake Placid. The bedrooms begin shortly thereafter, each offering a pillow top king bed, with a 1000 thread count sheets to help you relax and get some well needed rest. The Master has a king pillow top with 2 single pullout sleeper couches, bedroom 2 and 3 both house king pillow tops, The upstairs hosts 2 bathrooms, 1 king, 1 queen and 3 sets of bunks. All beautifully appointed and comfortable for you to enjoy. The downstairs game room is full of leather sleepers, an 80 inch TV a pingpong table Foosball and dart board. There is another bedroom that offers additional sleeping and a downstairs full bath. The carpets are plush and the environment is inviting. Per property and casualty Insurance and local zoning and code recommendations , security cameras are above exit doors only. These are in plain sight and can be disabled by the guest request upon check in. There is absolutely no camera or monitoring of any kind inside this home. The property is also equipped with an outdoor noise monitoring device. This device simply monitors decibel levels. If things get to noisy outside it will notify us. Be the best neighbor possible! ****Also Very Important, Iroquois Lodge is a Private home and therefore is not equipped with handicapped or special needs accommodations. If you or your loved one has soecial needs or requires special accommodations do not book this Lodge. Please look to stay in a Hotel/Motel so that evetyone will have the accommodations they need.
