“We've stayed for a week at Doug and Lucy’s place in June 2025. We had a really great time, enjoyed everything. Mostly spent time on the lake - swimming, kayaking, fishing. Kids had fun at the beach and playgrounds at the Elrod Ferry Recreation Area, which is just a few minutes drive down the road. Groceries and shopping (Walmart and ALDI) are less than 10 minutes away. Overall, a very nicely located quiet place on the lake. Will definitely try to come back next year.”

“We had to make a last minute change of plans and our host was absolutely amazing to work with. She went above and beyond to help us get this house booked and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her! The house was also so comfortable and clean and easy to get to. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had all the amenities that we needed. We were traveling with a toddler and it was a very safe place for children. I look forward to staying here again soon and recommend it highly!”

However, our VRBO contact, Jessi, provided an equally nice place within a day's notice for the same price, "Blues Brothers Hideaway". “The treehouse is a very short walk through the forest from the parking spot. It only takes a minute, but the treehouse is tucked just behind the trees. It feels nice & secluded. The bathroom is rather spacious considering the overall size of the place. It was a lovely little trip into nature”
