  • Ven y relájate en nuestra cabaña con un toque escandinavo, cerca de la playa, los senderos y la ciudad de Tahoe. Disfrutar de su tarde en verano en la terraza con un poco de vista al lago y en frente de la chimenea en el invierno, por favor traiga su propia leña.
    Por favor traiga su propio papel higiénico ya que no sabemos cuánto se está utilizando todo el tiempo y lo mismo ocurre con las toallas de papel :)
    Tenga en cuenta la cerca de oso que tenemos alrededor de la casa, el interruptor está ubicado en el lado derecho de la cubierta de la puerta corrediza de vidrio. Por favor, mantenga en la noche.
    En el invierno por favor sea consciente de Tahoe Negro hielo, todo se puede encontrar esto y esperamos que usted tiene cuidado para que no encuentre la manera más difícil.

Great house for two families with kids. Nice living area with the dining table a step away from the deck - convenient to spill breakfast/dinner action to the deck with a lake view. Nice themed decor, you can tell it's not corporate ran in a good way. It was our second time there, and we would like to come back.

We loved this home immediately! It’s very warm, inviting and a space that makes you want to dwell there and enjoy its beauty and peace. All the important details were very good: House was clean and ready to receive us, good beds, well equipped kitchen, great spaces to dwell as a group. The outside deck high above Lake Tahoe provided spectacular views. The house owner was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions or needs. Our group of four adults would gladly return to this property and highly recommend it.

Excellent cozy cabin in a quiet neighborhood. Easily fits two families. The owner is super responsive and accommodating. Rental includes access to a private beach!

Relaxing vacation

Lovely a frame

Great property, exactly as advertised. Enjoyed the private beach. The lack of AC was tough during the day in July but the house cooled down at night.

Tahoe adventure

Great location. The cabin was beautiful, located in a peaceful environment. Temperature was a little be hot, but host made provisions. We had a great time.

The cabin was perfect. Not huge, but everything we needed was there and super comfortable. The upstairs bed was so comfortable. I looked to see what company made it and what brand it was cause I think I wanna buy one. The kitchen was perfect and we had such a lovely view of the lake from the deck. It was mesmerizing.

Great view!

This was our second stay at this property. The view is great, the cabin is nice. Location is perfect, its close to stores and restaurants, but not so close that you don't have privacy as well. Greg S

Owner was great to deal with.

The place was nice and you’ll find everything you need for your stay. The only downfalls are the internet which is almost non existent and the lack of A/C leaves it uncomfortably warm inside, especially upstairs. The owner was was very responsive and great to deal with.

Cute Little Swedish Cabin!

We attended my son's wedding at Plumbjack, but opted to stay in this cute little cabin. We have family from Sweden and the little Swedish touches in the cabin were heart felt. The outdoor porch was an absolute delight! Penny our property manager has always been so kind and helpful during the entire reservation process. We would love to stay again in the future. Thank you for making our visit a memorable one!

Probably Would Not Go Back

The property is old and dated. If you like rustic, it fits the bill. The mattresses in the bunk bed room are unusable, and should be replaced. Nice location. Nice porch for coffee and cocktails.

Great respite near the lake

We enjoyed a couple great days in Tahoe for the holiday. The hosts were able to let us into the home early when we were heading up, which was a great relief to unload groceries and then head to the Lake. The home comes with a pass to a nearby beach. We had no trouble getting down there, parking and enjoyed a lovely afternoon by the water. The home is up in the hills over Lake Tahoe, so you would likely prefer to drive, since returning up the big windy hill would be tough. Something of note that you may not realize from the map. Otherwise, the house was charming and had everything we needed for our stay. Would stay again.

A relaxing place to get away!

This cabin was perfect for our family for our holiday. Because its personal and "well lived in" the vibe was casual and relaxed. In some ways, the informal and personal touches make it a warmer and more hospitable than more modern and austere places. It's not fancy but it's comfy. While not quite walkable in winter, Tahoe City is at the bottom of the hill for some good eats and a small general store. Of note; bring everything you need, as is clearly stated in the description, from TP to coffee; it's a little more "bring your own" than most places. We had a great time and the host was great too!

Unpleasant

The thermostat was broken, the downstairs room was continuously heating up even though the temperature was at 58, the beds were not clean and near, there were dirt and peanut shells on the beds and carpets, we found eyelashes on the upstairs bed, the stay experience was bad to a point that we didn’t sleep the second night and took off way early in the morning around 3am

Great location, covers the basics

This A-frame unit was perfect for myself (downstairs queen), 4 kids (bunk-room) and my friends (upstairs loft king). The location was perfect for getting into Tahoe City for essentials or the ~20min drive to Palisades for skiing. We had a small snafu with plumbing, but the property manager had it fixed as soon as possible with excellent communication. Pro-tip - the downstairs bedrooms got hot, even with the heat turned down to 62. Leave a window open - it still didn't get too cold in the winter, but made sleep more manageable.

Enjoyed the stay

Overall, we had a great experience. Pro's - the deck is great. Plenty of space and good views. The living area is also spacious and connects well with the deck. The bedrooms were adequate. As mentioned in many other reviews, there isn't AC, so it does get very warm in the upstairs loft during the day. If you leave the windows open during the evening, the upstairs cools down considerably. The location is great. Close to Tahoe City, hikes, etc. The only gripe would be that the place is older and certain things aren't all that modern. Upstairs bathroom is dated and could use some attention. Not terrible by any stretch though. Overall, I would stay here again.

Nice place

Booked in June for a December stay. Filtered my search to only show properties with hot tubs. The property listing showed a hot tub for months. I showed the listing to multiple people, including those that traveled with us. We had numerous conversations about how nice it will be with a hot tub on a ski vacation. I would not have booked this cabin if it didn’t list a hot tub. When we arrived we couldn’t find it. I confirmed the listing showed hot tub and it did. So I messaged the host and they said “we don’t see that” and immediately that amenity disappeared from the listing. The host said “sorry, hope you enjoy your stay”. They are not providing any compensation and told me to “take it up with VRBO” because it was a glitch in their system.

Fun Family Vacation

We had a great family vacation here (4 people with 2 teenage boys). Some people mentioned not liking the bear wires, but this is pretty standard in this part of Tahoe. Bears have been known to break into the homes! Others mentioned only 1 dish towel, but there were plenty for us. There were also plenty of bath towels provided (including wash cloths). As mentioned in the listing, you do need to provide your own toilet paper and paper towels. In addition, there is no food storage (zip locks, saran wrap, tupperware, etc). There was a roll of foil that I suspect was left by a previous renter. There was not a lot of cupboard space to store our groceries except above the fridge. There was some shampoo and body soap in the upstairs bathroom, but none in the downstairs. I would recommend bringing your own. The cabin itself is cozy and fairly well-equipped except for the above mentioned items. The wifi is not great and we did have to restart the router each day, so don't plan to work from the cabin. If you're in Tahoe, that's the last thing you'll want to be doing anyway! We never turned on the TVs so I can't comment on that part. The couch seems new and was very comfortable and the deck was nice and big!

Beautiful Cabin and Location, Terrible Service

This is a property owned by 3 people: a mother, a son, and a daughter-in-law. If you encounter any issues and must contact them, you are in for a difficult time. On the surface, the place looks very beautiful and seems like the ideal location for spending one's holiday residing in. However, We were unfortunately unable to experience any of this cabin's many features and luxuries due to unforeseen weather conditions that ended up blocking off the road to Lake Tahoe. The reason for this one star review isn't the actual house or location of the property, but the service received from the owners. Our family had planned and booked this cabin for several months and made several preparations before driving out 8 hours to this location. On our first day, we drove up 6 hours to Sacramento and planned on driving the remaining two hours the next day. However, there ended up being an extreme snow storm that blocked the highway around Lake Tahoe; there was no way for us to get in anywhere. This pushed us to have to rent an additional hotel to spend yet another night in a different city unfamiliar to us. Afterwards is where the main issue arises. Since we were unable to reach our cabin, we decided to request a refund... which ended up being denied due to the cabin owners’ "policy" of some sort that required customers to purchase an insurance plan in order to receive our money back in case of a cancellation. They said that the snow storm was not their fault that we couldn't make it to their property and we should've bought insurance. The snow storm also wasn't our fault that we could not make it to their cabin and they still charged us despite us not being able to use any of their property or arrive at their location. The snow storm was considered a natural disaster and they still would not reason with us. If they were just following company regulations, it would be understandable. But because the owners blatantly denied giving us our refund despite their legal ability to do so, it is evident that these owners are only after our money and do not care about our customer satisfaction. Think twice before booking at this place.

Family get away

Cozy cabin, it was perfect for our family . Kitchen fully equipped and I was able to make a huge thanksgiving dinner. Close neighbors were friendly. Conveniently located not to far from stores, and we got to enjoy the private beach. Myself and my family had a blast.
