Blue Door House - Excellent Stay

Highly recommend staying at the Blue Door House in Lakeland if you need to stay in the area. The house was super cute, very clean and the host/property manager was incredibly accommodating. He continued to check in and was very responsive with questions we had. The neighborhood was quiet and close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Overall, the stay was enjoyable. The host was super responsive and friendly, the house was spotless, and it is a very cute home in a quite neighborhood. My only issue was the accuracy of the listing descriptions. It is a shared home, which it does not state. And although the in-law suite does not have access to the house or garage, it is still rented out and attached to the home and has a shared backyard. The listing stated that there is patio/lanai access, but we were informed after booking, that that is only for whomever rents out the in-law suite. The tv in the bedroom has a screensaver and decided it was going to put a white christmas on at 1am, lighting up the entire room, waking me up. The power button would not turn off the tv no matter how many times I hit it, so I ended up having to unplug the tv. It also stated that there was a travel crib, but that was nowhere to be found. I would have given 5 stars, but I typically avoid shared listings and was not aware of the attached in-law suite that is also rented out, at the time of booking.

Wonderful quiet rental in safe neighborhood

What a great find!A newly remodeled, spotlessly clean 3 bedroom in a safe, quiet neighborhood. We stayed here with another couple and a friend, ( five adults) in a three bedroom two bathroom place. It worked out beautifully, and everyone had enough room to relax and enjoy time together. We took nightly walks around the golf course a block away and felt very safe in the neighborhood after dark.The host, Edgar, is fantastic. Great communication, and sends you the code to the door the morning you are to arrive. Beds were firm and comfortable; clean white towels and wash cloths; fully appointed kitchen; washer and dryer in the garage. The coffee maker is a Keurig. Stores are within walking distance or a short drive away.We'll stay here again if we return to Lakeland - everything was thoughtfully provided and the host is a gem.

Good little family house

Just wrapped up our 3 day stay here last week, overall we were pretty happy with our stay. Place was cute and in a decent area that felt safe. Our only concern was that we didn’t even know the house was split into 2 units and rented out at the same time. We realized when we came back from a day trip and us and the other renters were pulling into the driveway at the same time and we were pretty confused. They told us they had a back entrance and they were using the back yard. We had no idea that the backyard wasn’t fully ours to use which was disappointing since we have two young kids. Other than that we enjoyed our stay!

Nice stay. Excellent host

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Door House. A few minor additions would make it an excellent stay, such as fixing the closet doors so both sides open & adding storage to all bedrooms. A storage unit in the bedroom with the attached bath would be perfect for the other 2 bedrooms. Adding a light over the kitchen sink would be a big help too.

Great Stay

House was very clean and tidy. Everything we needed was provided. The host was readily available. Definitely would recommend. Very quiet neighborhood and conveniently located to our event. We enjoyed our stay!

Florida Elite Cheer Competition

Great location and the accommodations were excellent. I was a perfect place for us to lay our heads for an overnight stay. 8 minutes from RP Funding Center which great when we had to be there at 630 am for a cheer competition. The bed were extremely comfortable for a good nights rest.
