The Copper Owl Cabin, our special North Georgia mountain cabin in the woods, is ready for family fun! Come to work away from home. Stay to relax and play! The hosts stay here often and provide many details like flashlights, daypack, marshmallow sticks, lighters, firewood, candles. Great nearby waterfall hikes, wineries, distilleries, restaurants, antiquing and interesting shops.

1 mile from Lake Rabun swimming and boat launch.

Family and dog-friendly easily accessible cabin on one acre mostly wooded property.

Late checkout often available upon request!

Large front deck with dining table plus swing and Adirondack chairs for relaxing.

Screened porch with mini pool table, checkers game tables and cozy seating area

Rare, level, woodsy backyard area with a large backyard; firepit w/ firewood provided. Small Walking Trail on our property - great for kids.

The kitchen is well stocked; including spices, olive oil, sugar, variety of teas. Petite, but room for two to prepare a feast, and a dishwasher.

Reliable wi-fi, 2 desks, and monitor for working remotely. We have a Roku TV and DVDs but no cable. Bring your favorite streaming passwords for Netflix, etc.

Verizon cell phone service is great, others like ATT don't work or sketchy. The cabin does not have a land line phone.

Wood stove with wood provided. Mini Split A/C & heat (3 zones).

Public lake access at National Forest Service's Lake Rabun Beach boat ramp with fishing dock, swimming beach 1 mile from the cabin. No Lake access from our immediate neighborhood.

Seasonal: Kayak, pontoon boats, and stand-up paddleboard rentals 2.5 miles away at Bear Gap Outfitters on Lake Rabun
We provide 3 fishing poles and full tackle box to borrow.

***ACCESS***
The cabin is located off Highway 23 between Tallulah Gorge and Clayton, GA. You will take a beautiful winding drive along Lake Rabun past lovely lake homes and cabins, then gravel road for 0.3 mile. The gravel road is well maintained but can occasionally have ruts after heavy rains.

The Copper Owl has a level driveway, one step up to the deck and one step to the cabin entrance. Guest bedroom, 1 bath, living room, kitchen, and dining room are on the main level (one step down to dining room). Master bedroom suite with full bath is down eight steps off the dining room. Loft overlooking the living room has very steep stairs up to the two additional twin beds.
