“On arrival we was greeted with a strong smell of damp. There was a lot of spiders and dead and live wood lice all around the house. The live were taken outside and the dead were sucked up the very doggy smelling vacuum cleaner. The sofa smelt of dogs and the sink had stuck on food remnants and dead wood lice. The only good points were: the bed was comfy and the nice touch of a bottle of Prosecco. Would we recommend and stay again? Unfortunately no.”

“Amazing cottage in a very sweet quiet town, the host was great at communicating and very lovely. Could not have had a better place to stay for our trip to Lancashire. 10/10 would recommend!”

Great amenities with the owners being on-hand for any questions, local knowledge and recommendations.Finishing of the fixtures in the property were great and plenty of space for a family and couples alike.Parking space also at front of the property which is a big bonus.Would certainly recommend for anyone looking for a break to the area.Will certainly be back ourselves.”

“Wonderful set up at The Lodge. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a small family break. All the mod cons, particularly liked the electric window blinds. Kitchen facilities was excellent and more than adequate. We also took our own coffee machine for that extra home comfort. Location was pretty central for the places we wanted to visit. Windermere was only 40 minutes away with stunning views of the country side on route. Hot Tube was a lovely touch and well maintainedAll in all a lovely break away...

“The cottage by mode were very clean and spacious. However it was cold and uncomfortable in the mornings and evenings. No other form of heating in the lounge i.e a fire Beds uncomfortable because two singles pushed together which easily moved. Fix the heating and the beds and I would give it 5 stars ”
