As this was a quick break decided 2 days before flight departure, we gave our selection process limited time to review. We were quite pleased with the overview of the property, but as there were no reviews to scan, we were a little apprehensive. Communications, due to time constraints, were limited & we flew out to Larnaca with just a few details.
On arrival I must advise on my experience of the Taxi Drivers. It was obvious they had no interest in a couple seeking a taxi on a local hire; they much preferred a large family with much luggage and a long mileage run.
Eventually after over an hour wait & possibly due to them having no other option, we did manage to hire a taxi. The driver drove us to the provided address & informed us that the lettering on the housing block, which was in Greek, was the address I provided. He then spent the next 30 minutes searching for the "Key Box" and, due to his persistance at midnight, in the pitch black, he returned with a set of keys, unlocked the main block entrance, walked us, together with our luggage, to the lift and informed us of the Room Number & on which floor it was on. How he knew this I have no idea.
Based on his info we tried the keys to the door number he advised & with an effort, we gained access to "an apartment". Whether this was indeed the correct booking we had no idea, after all we were basing everything on what the Taxi driver had provided.
