Hello,
I wanted to share some concerns about my recent stay and request your help in reviewing whether a partial refund might be appropriate.
When I checked in, I asked if it would be possible to place my room on the same floor as another family member staying at the hotel. I was told that because my reservation was booked through Expedia and listed as a private room, the hotel was unable to make any adjustments and that I would need to contact the host through the booking platform if I needed assistance.
Unfortunately, the room I received appeared to be in a less desirable location. It was at the far end of the sixth floor, and the hallway lighting outside our door was broken, which made the area feel poorly maintained. Additionally, when I first attempted to enter the room, the key did not work and I had to return to the front desk to have it replaced.
The bed was also extremely firm and the room itself did not appear to be as updated or well-maintained as the room my family member received, despite us staying at the same property. Their reservation was booked through a different platform, and the difference in room quality was noticeable.
This is the first time I’ve felt that booking through Expedia may have resulted in receiving a significantly less desirable room. Because of these issues, I would appreciate it if you could review my stay and let me know if a partial refund or credit might be possible.
