“The staff at Garden Island Resort are all so lovely and caring. The gardens at the front of the building are beautiful. The location is not great for snorkeling right from the resort though amazing diving and snorkelling is available close by. The pool is directly underneath a cauldron of bats, not 1-2 bats but close to 100. The bats are screeching constantly throughout the day and there are bat droppings on the pool deck. There are few close amenities and not much within walking distance....

“This is a great place to stay with a great family. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, had a wonderful easy time and were very sorry to leave. This isn't a hotel or resort - it's a homestay and we really felt at home. Jale, Nita, Sia and Jima are creative, interesting and generally exceptional people and perfect hosts. “The staff are very good, but this property is very tired and in need of a major update. The pictures DO NOT look anything like what we stayed in. The air conditioning did not work, the toilet leaks (from the bowl), cleaning staff did not clean the room, ants are everywhere in the room. ”

Amazing opportunities to snorkel very close by. Not on the best beach for a swim but can have a private experience on a private beautiful beach to yourselves 5 min boat ride away. Pool area well maintained. Tables at mealtime well spaced so can have own conversations. Opportunities to do some fun excursions. ”

“Idyllic location on a hill overlooking the ocean with a gorgeous property and bungalow. Knox and Kelera treat their guests like family and are incredibly gracious. They made a lovo dinner for us which was delicious and Knox drove us to all of our day trip destinations filling the driving time with interesting observations about the island and history.
