Beautifully appointed apartment in Downtown Laurel! Air conditioning worked well, bed was very comfortable, and everything was so thoughtfully curated. My husband and I loved taking an afternoon to sit on the couch and peruse all the provided books. Because I am a big fan of the HomeTown show, I especially appreciated being able to read some of Erin Napier’s books. Very convenient location—short walk from train station, the Scotsman General Store, Laurel Mercantile and all the downtown stores and restaurants. It was next door to HomeSlice pizza, 2 doors down from The Loft restaurant, and a 5 minute walk to Laurel Creamery. Communication with the owner was prompt and easy. Would recommend! One thing: we didn’t see an elevator. Not sure if there was mention of one in the listing?

Darling apartment and an ideal place to stay when visiting Laurel. We were visiting mainly for the Hometown attractions which were all within walking distance. We explored many of the quaint shops along the way, and dined at The Loft which is right next door, and Homeslice Pizza, which was directly under the apartment. Everyone we met was very friendly and we never felt unsafe. Highly recommend!

This was an unbelievable location in Laurel with fantastic proximity to restaurants and shopping. The wood floors are amazing and simply ooze all the charm and history you would expect from a residential building in downtown Laurel. What doesn’t really come through on the photos is the tall ceilings throughout the unit—it makes everything feel spacious and comfortable. The theme was so well done with the famous Mississippi authors and books on the shelf—it helped to connect the location and give a sense of place. Superb communication from host and experienced great follow up on a very minor need that was resolved quickly. Had a coffee maker with coffee and set up for a day or two—so no need to go to store for a short stay…so convenient. Check in and check out easy and smooth. In totality, this place was kind of a masterclass in VRBO experience. Well done.

Booked for anniversary trip from Dallas. Very clean, walkable to restaurants and downtown shopping. Really didn’t need vehicle. Took the laurelhome golf cart tour around HGTV “Hometown” renovated homes. We would definitely stay again!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this unit -- there were a few housekeeping hiccups and we shared a few suggestions with the owner to improve functionality to enhance future guests' experience. It is unique, decorated very nicely, very comfortable and the space is used efficiently. The location is very close to local shops and restaurants (recommend eating at the Loft next door - was great). To be noted, there are two entries into the building -- one in an alley by the parking lot and one in the front of the building. The unit was overall tidy but there were a few areas that could have used a deeper clean.

Conveniently located in downtown-walking distance to local attractions/restaurants. Was a little hard to find the entrance as the door is tucked between business, but plenty of free parking behind the building with entrances in front and back. Nicely decorated with nice appliances, but could use additional dishes, which I advised the owner of. Comfortable bed, AC works great! Water pressure is low, but could be because the building is older. Advised owner that the place needs more wash cloths. Excellent steakhouse next door-The Loft. Overall, very nice, clean, centrally located place. Owner was easy to get in touch with and very responsive.

Great location. Cute town. Our host was very attentive and the place was nice. Home Slice, The Loft and Lees Coffee were delicious. Our host for golf cart tour was very knowledgeable and funny. The museum was very interesting and staff was very friendly. Nice to see small towns coming back to life. The music playing on speakers downtown near The Loft was nice. Made sitting outside enjoyable.

Hometown Getaway

Visiting Laurel has been on my wish list for a few years now. Finding this property right in the heart of downtown was an excellent idea. The apartment is wonderfully decorated and mixes the old charm of the building with a ton of modern touches. The back entrance was a little icky since the local restaurant workers use it for smoke breaks. We just used the front entrance instead. I would consider staying here again passing through Laurel.

We had a great stay. We rolled into town at 5:13 and our room was just so cozy. Everything was clean and tidy. Very good location! Easy access to everything for sure that’s what in the downtown area. We atePoboys at the Commissary. The shrimp was excellent! The Creamery was tasty as well. Enjoyed Ben and Erin’s shops. We will be back from Illinois again and thank you for your hospitality!

Great place for business or pleasure

I travel 4-5x/year to Laurel on business. I also find a little time to enjoy the town. This is my second time staying in one of their properties, and I love the location, cleanliness, friendliness of the host, and spacious accommodations. They truly think of everything. Checking in and out is simple and not draining on the consumer. I highly recommend any of their vacation rentals.
