We spent a lovely weekend here with two other couples. Just a beautiful place. Perfectly designed with several extremely comfortable spaces to relax and unwind. A great, windowed front room with a large dining table that features a very comfy banquette opposite a sunny seating (napping?) area with a big overstuffed couch and two wicker chairs that lend the space a kind of beach house chic. Big, very functional chef's style kitchen overlooking a large well appointed living room with a big screen TV for watching a movie. We had no need for the fireplace (it was 90 degrees) but there is one. One really nice feature of the cottage is the way you can open French doors and wraparound windows to the salty sweet bay breezes. The bedrooms are equally lovely, two downstairs, one up, and a big, HGTV bathroom. The owner supplies hotel quality linens and towels. A real plus. There is a second bath out in the garage, sounds weird, but it was just fine. A cute outdoor shower, too. There is a fabulous Bayfront patio set up for outdoor dining and then down a wooden ladder to the sandy bulkhead beach. A dip in Peconic Bay is not to be missed. Depending on the tide, the area in front of the house is about three to four feet deep. Kids might need floaties. Adults might enjoy floating around, too. We had a great time and can recommend the place highly. Can't wait to come again.
