Wonderfully decorated, cozy, charming place for a getaway. Perfect for couples, private, and secluded. Hot tub was amazing. Close to antique shopping and restaurants.

House has a very steep wet slippery wood ramp at entrance. Not much warning about that especially how steep & slippery it is. Red mud all around the house. And its not a cozy couple place as described. No trash receptacle to leave your trash, you have to carry it off in your car. We left and got a hotel. Messaging host wasn't very pleasant as well, had to ask she not contact me anymore. And this was our 25th Anniversary weekend.

Overall everything was great! Wonderful little ‘tree house’ experience for a weekend getaway. Check-in was easy with good communication. Kitchen, living area, and bedroom area was all nice. Outdoor shower was exhilarating. Note, however, there are no closets to hang clothing. We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary weekend!!

We had a wonderful overnight stay for our anniversary. The home is beautifully decorated, with so many thoughtful extra touches that truly enhance your stay. Bathroom essentials were provided in case we forgot anything, and the kitchen was stocked well beyond the basics you’d expect in a rental. The live plants placed throughout the home added a lovely, welcoming feel. Everything was spotless, and there were several inviting spots to relax and spend time together. The mattress was incredibly comfortable—far better than most places we’ve stayed. While the property isn’t far from other homes, the trees and underbrush create a peaceful sense of seclusion.For future guests, we suggest backing into the driveway to make it easier to pull out. Also, the front entrance is accessed by a ramp, which is a little steep but manageable, and there are also steps leading to the back deck and door.We would gladly recommend this home to others and would happily stay here again.

A magnificent escape

This property is exactly as listed. Quiet, remote, and beautifully charming. The vintage boutique adds to the romanic atmosphere. And close enough to the CLT area to easily make it a day trip. I highly recommend pairing this stay with a visit to Baker Buffalo Creek Winery.

Beautiful Property, But Privacy Issues Need Addressing

Beautiful property, but serious privacy concerns. The cabin is clean, well-designed, and perfect for a romantic getaway. We loved the fire pit, swing bed, and hot tub. However, there were unmentioned surveillance cameras on-site. Signs said the property was under 24-hour surveillance, but the listing didn’t mention any cameras. I found two wireless cameras aimed toward the hot tub and outdoor space. The outdoor shower (the only shower) has no privacy door, and the bathroom windows had no coverings—raising real privacy issues. A police officer stopped by the next day, and the host later asked me to return the cameras to their original position, suggesting remote monitoring. This setup contradicts the listing’s claim of “privacy.” This could be fixed by adding blinds to bathroom windows, a privacy door to the outdoor shower, and relocating cameras to visible, outward-facing spots. Most importantly, the listing should clearly disclose how many cameras there are and where they are placed. Until that’s resolved, I wouldn’t stay again.

Romantic getaway

The VRBO is very well appointed and perfect for a couple's private getaway. Many thoughtful touches - robes, coffee, etc. Would not recommend this for anyone with a physical disability as the entrance is steep.

28th Anniversary weekend

My wife and I decided to look for places near the town we lived in when we first got engaged 29years ago and ran across this neat little spot. We have done tree houses and yurts for the experience before so this was right up our alley. We had an amazing time revisiting old haunts and finding some new places. This place is secluded and very quaint.
