“My son flew in from AK and met me in San Diego. We had such an amazing time making memories. Nancy was such an amazing host! Very personable. I felt like I was talking to an old friend. We managed to get sun burned on our beach outing and Nancy saved the day providing us with some fresh cut aloe vera and an extra bottle she had. The beach chairs, umbrella & insulated cooler made The beach day a success (outside of the sunburn). The courtyard area was my favorite. I enjoyed the swing while...

“A unique property with missed opportunities
Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe has a distinctive design, a beautiful setting, and a polite, welcoming staff. Unfortunately, it feels older and less maintained than I expected from the Banyan Tree name and its rates.

“Love the room, The roof bar the lobby bar. The back coffee can be heard from room 205 in the morning. 201 & 301 street facing. Thursday night market is awesome.
The door in room 205 does not close all the way so the auto locks trigger and keeps it open.”

“Great location for an adult getaway—just know what to expect!
If you’re looking for a low-fuss, no-frills stay in the heart of Oceanside, this is your spot. Don’t expect a traditional hotel lobby or a long list of amenities—it’s essentially a Bed & Breakfast style room with an attached bath. But what it lacks in standard features, it makes up for in location and vibe.
You get prime access to incredible food, drinks, beer, a great fire pit, and relaxing garden spaces. It’s perfect for adults...
