6/10
When we arrived after a very long drive, the code that was given wouldn’t work because the code would only work 15 minutes before the check in time. Didn’t really time it that way when we drove all the way from Iowa City. We arrived 30 minutes before check in. The house was gorgeous, and we were very ready for the hot tub. All 4 of us climbed in, and all the jets weren’t working. After much jostling, my plumber husband pulled out a dirty bandaid with a bunch of hair from the drain. None of us felt like hot tubbing anymore, and it wasn’t used again. The next morning when we were trying to have breakfast we discovered that only one of three blinds would shut, so we had blaring sunlight into the main room. The washer in the master bedroom did not work, and the dryer on the main floor would only work for 30 minutes, and never dried our clothes. The dryer in the master bedroom worked thankfully. We had to replace all or most of the batteries in the remotes for TV and blinds. The lamps on the upper level weren’t even plugged in, or close enough to plug in. The adults that had to sleep in the single beds complained a lot. The pools that were connected to the house were always crowded. We were there for a reunion in Deadwood, so I was thankful for a nice house to stay in while I was there, but I’m still wondering if it was worth all that money considering things.
