Several issues impacted the experience and thus the value. Key access instructions overly complicated. The unit was cold upon arrival and took until 6-8hrs to hit room temp. The knob on the bedroom baseboard heater control was broken and a throw-blanket draped the baseboard behind the sofa. Glad we caught it. The TV's would not stay connected due to wifi signal issues. Reset router and TVs- no deal. Unable to utilize the TVs. The sofa is ready for heavy trash pickup, the cushions sinking into the sofabed framing. The bedroom blind toggles were out of reach to make adjustments- we enjoyed the outside ambiant light all night. Finally- the bath towels smelled like stale cigarette smoke, noticable using just out of the shower. Overall - not a great experience if you have basic expectations at this level of rental.

The building and rooms were very good. Gaining entry was ridiculous and I wasn't sent a code to open the lock until we were there and standing outside in the snow for several minutes. Even then, the code didn't work until someone showed up to help out. Thank goodness another guest let us inside, where the code into the room did work. It's easy to make this work better and it gave the location a black eye.

I had a wonderful stay here. The unit was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with all I needed. The host was very communicative and made sure that my stay was smooth. I would absolutely stay here again, and hope too next time I'm in Leadville!

Very nice condo with all amenities. We only stayed 2 nights to visit with friends. Close to downtown. Ample parking. Hallways are dimly lighted but we managed. Our only issue was with VRBO in trying to get location and checkin information in advance as opposed to day before and contacting host. The website kept failing and had to contact customer service 2 times to get resolution.

The property was nice enough, but there were some nagging deficiencies. * The keypad to access the unit is unlit and the hallway is dimly lit, necessitating the use of the light from a phone. A real inconvenience when your arms are full. * There was no stopper in the bathroom sink.* There is no closet in the bedroom for hang up clothes.* General repair was a bit lacking, nothing major, but many little things, like chipped paint, and cabinets that don't close fully etc.

The building alone was unique

From the second we parked our Jeep we knew we were in for a great stay. The apartment was so clean and very homey. The building was so unique. I wished all VRBO’s were this nice. Thank you for putting so much thought into making us have such a great stay in your vacation rental. We loved it.

Gaining access to this property was like Amazing Race/Survivor game and incredibly complicated. If we weren’t having so much fun already, this topped off our day. Place was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. My 17 son did NOT appreciate the fold out bed however. Tough night sleep.

Good location, very comfortable.

We stayed in Leadville to hike Mt. Elbert and this property was a perfect location for us. The property was exactly as listed and the bed and couch were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed.

The check in process was very difficult. The lockbox was frozen shut and there wasn’t an overhead light. The condo was nicely located, roomy and comfortable.

Cozy and quirky

This unit is nestled in an old turn-of-the-century building overlooking the historic town of Vail. It was quiet, cozy, clean, and had everything needed for a fantastic weekend getaway: warm electric fireplace, ROKU TV, kitchen with all needed cooking utensils and dinnerware, extra blankies, comfy bed, big fluffy towels, and lots of charm. The building still has much of its old architectural elements like high ceilings, creaky wood floors, beautiful wooden staircases, iron decorative fencing, stained glass entryway, and much more, giving it a quirky old-school connection to the past. We brought our EMF detector to see if any spirits were present. I'm happy to report that all is quiet in this wonderful historic location. Enjoy the mountains and local history in this lovely condo.

Great Location!

We wanted to climb a couple 14ers while in the area and this location was easily accessible to Mt. Elbert and Mt. Sherman and the downtown historic district. Communication with host was excellent. There was a distinct smell in the room that we couldn't ever figure out, but we didn't mention it. I'm sure if we had, they would have checked on it. Very accomodating hosts!

Beautiful historic building. However ran out of hot water after 1st shower

Unable to open windows so felt stuffy and could possibly be safety issue due to only one exit Could’ve used a fan. Toilet not secured to floor. Noted a cockroach in bathroom. FYI, may want to take photos when you arrive so aren’t falsely accused of damage to property

Historic Leadville - Historic Condo Property

We love Leadville for the outdoors and the history, and this condo is historic too - located in what was once the Old St. Vincent's hospital (built 1901), it is a fascinating building. This quaint condo is older but comfie, management is helpful. Property is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown, and grocery store. We have stayed here before, and would do so again.

Ski weekend

We lived this unit. We ski cooper frequently and this was perfect for us. Bed was terrific, kitchen met all our needs and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We will be back.
