Everything was wonderful. It was clean, and quiet. We stayed two nights, stopping at HEB on the way. The cabin had just what we needed without being cluttered. We grilled and hung around the fire pit, watching the stars. Having a nice covered porch on both ends of the cabin worked out great with the change in wind/weather.The view is fantastic and so was the quiet, we ended up not leaving until checkout! It was just what we needed, the stay was so relaxing.

Best 4 days in the Hill Country! The little home has all you need. All utensils, glasses to eat/cook/drink with. Induction stove works great. Only a microwave/no oven. We cooked every night on outdoor propane grill. The fridge is slightly bigger than mini fridge w small freezer flap. No ice maker so pick some up in Leakey. The only sink in the house is kitchen sink. You have an inside bathtub w a shower attachment. However, we both used the outdoor shower in the mornings; awesome.The back deck off the house looks over the valley below! Great views! Bed was very comfortable. Mattress/ pillows are memory foam. The AC/Heat works well. The internet at the beginning was spotty, but after talking to Nathan we figured it out & worked well. The cozy fire pit area on side of house overlooks valley & makes for great morning sunrise w coffee. Fire pit itself puts out good heat. At night you can see the stars forever! Nathan was very responsive & polite. He told us about some hiking we could do. He suggested that we go down to the valley & walk that. I'm glad we did. There's no one around you except for The Barn, the other house Nathan rents. If somebody was there, you wouldn't know it.Keep in mind that there are cacti everywhere. So watch your furry friend, keep them on main trails. Other than that, it's extremely beautiful out here! We had a great time disconnecting & reconnecting w nature. We're certainly going to come again. Nathan has quite a paradise out here!

This place is awesome. My wife and I are avid science fans. She's a Biologist and I'm an avid amateur astronomer. This property was PERFECT for stargazing by night and animal spotting during the day. The unique microbiomes of the areas surrounding the property were so cool... you can really see how the ridgeline biomes differ from the biomes in the deep canyons winding down towards the Frio watershed.All of the appointments in the cabin worked as advertised. We brought a bluetooth speaker and watched scary movies at night. The bathtub was great as was the outdoor seating areas. My wife and I will definitely be staying again!

Everything was absolutely incredible! Talk about getting away from the city. We were so far removed that we could see ALL the stars. It was so nice to not hear traffic or other people. I think we only turned the TV on one time. We were just basking in the tranquility. They really had almost everything we needed already there. We brought food and drinks, and they had pretty much everything else. It was a great way to spend our 15th anniversary! Thanks to the hosts for doing such an amazing job. We will highly recommend it to others!

Absolutely stunning...We stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary and it couldn't have been more perfect. The cabin was SPOTLESS....and the views are to die for...This is the place you want to stay period. Also....fantastic correspondence with the owner...He answered every question I had quickly and was a pleasure to work with. Owners take note.....This is how its done! Rent this cabin....You will not be disappointed!!!

Scenic Views

Wow! What an amazing location. A bit of a drive off the beaten path, so worth it. Peaceful and remote. It is truly in the hill country. It was the perfect spot to enjoy hiking in Garner and exploring. Close enough to Leakey to enjoy meals out. It was clean and well equipped!

Amazing views and close to everything

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is as close as you can get to everything around (Lost Maples, Garner State Park, Frio River, Uvalde). You can’t beat the beautiful views. We will be back!

Perfect Secluded Getaway

This cabin was the perfect secluded getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was a perfect distance for our visits to Lost Maples and Garner State park. It has a beautiful view and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for a weekend.

Perfect stay

We wanted to disconnect from the world from a bit with out the lack of comfort of a modern home, and this place provided everything we needed and more. The venue was exactly as advertised. Incredibly peaceful and offered great sunrise views. The owner helped me so much and answered every single one of my questions and guided me to solutions; even late at night. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location. The view from inside and around the cabin are amazing. Our 12 y/o loved cooking dinner on the grill and then making smores. Thank you again!

Relaxing getaway

What a great escape from the city! We loved the beautiful sunsets, stargazing, and tranquil scenery. This was a great base of operations for day trips to Lost Maples and Garner, and a perfect way to enjoy nature without all the crowds at the end of the day (and with a luxurious bath to boot!). We would highly recommend!

A lovely property with spectacular views!!

This lovely cabin surpassed our expectations in terms of the amenities & the views. It has beautiful outdoor areas to enjoy the views & an amazing outdoor shower with plenty of hot water. Just take your partner & go enjoy this very private & romantic property.

Perfect hill country retreat

Chic cabin in the hill country. Perfect location to view the solar eclipse with my family. My kiddo loved making s'mores by the fire pit. We would stay here again!
