8/10
I brought my family of 6 to spend a few days during spring break. Overall, this place is great for families. We enjoyed all the games, especially the giant chess board, the pool table, and pickleball. Location wise, it's fine - 15-20 minutes to most of the downtown Asheville stuff. Amenities wise - very well stocked. They had plenty of clean towels, coffee supplies, etc. The lights and fireplace were all fun. My only critical feedback is that the house could use a little more attention - lots of little stuff added up to made a significant impact, including: 1 - The hot tub was pretty dirty. Once we got in once, nobody wanted to get back in. 2 - The sauna was pretty dirty and took a while to figure out - essentially, you can't turn it above or below the 1 hour mark, or it cuts off. 3 - The internet was very unreliable. It cut out for a couple hours 2 days in a row. 4 - There was only one ping pong paddle that wasn't broken. 5 - The turn onto the driveway from the main road is very sketchy. Our van bottomed out badly on our first approach and I'm still nervous to find out whether anything was damaged. The owners were very responsive about all of these things as we brought them to their attention. Being a little more proactive will make this a fantastic property.
