In the rural village of Laubies (48700) in the Lozère region, surrounded by nature on the Margeride Plateau at an elevation of 1,000 meters, stands a former 17th-century farmhouse, fully renovated to welcome you with all the comforts you’d expect. The buildings’ authentic character has been preserved, with restored slate roofs, thick stone walls joined with lime mortar, exposed original beams, and, of course, its magnificent granite hearth, typical of the Margeride region. The house is located at the entrance to the village, with no immediate neighbors and no houses directly across the way. The sunny terrace allows you to relax in front of the house while enjoying the unobstructed view of the nearby pastures and forests. The old stables and barns provide sheltered storage for bicycles, motorcycles, ATVs… or for your hiking gear (backpacks, hiking boots, snowshoes…). On the first floor, a very large living area combines the open kitchen, living room, and dining room for a more welcoming atmosphere. The exposed stone walls joined with lime mortar, the old ceiling beams, the granite-tiled living room floor, the pellet stove, and the large fireplace preserve the soul of this traditional Margeride home.
