“We had a fabulous stay at 172a Longmeanygate. Such a quiet spot yet close access for the motorways. We got to the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales, Castle Howard and Bank Hall as well as visiting friends and relatives while we were here from New Zealand. The cottage was very well equipped but my husband's only critisism was that the bed was too small 🙃”

“Room itself fine but newly fitted shower tray flooded bathroom - Room service poor as 3 different menus give 3 different times this is available and a 4 Star hotel stopping room service at 8.00pm???? Wnen cold sandwiches came with chips quality was v poor - drie out bread a scraping of butter and over-fried oily chips - definitely not a 4 Star hotel - younger bar tender needs training on customer service and attitude. Housekeeping staff and receptionist great.”

“Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing.
The first night was a write-off in terms of sleep. Staff gave a late booking to a couple who had been drinking in the pub, and they stayed up most of the night with the TV on at a very high volume. “It was a lovely well equipped air B and B. Very good location and good communication with the owner who got back to me pretty quickly when I contacted her. Very comfortable bed and a nice shower room. Accessible to all even the slightly less mobile.
