Dear Alessandro: Thank you taking the time trouble to drop us this review! And thank you for choosing us for your vacation, out of the numerous choices available in Lijiang. We are very sorry to read that you experienced some inconvenience during your stay. We should have gathered more feedback during your stay to find out exactly what you mean by our furnishing being quite Chinese and not very comfortable for Westerners as a vast majority of our guests do come from all over the world, and the feedback has been very positive. In addition, our rooms, as can be seen from the pictures, are clean and modern with convenient amenities. Even for very tall Western guests, we are able to extend the length of beds with an ottoman extension, so as to ensure good sleep for everyone. As for the food at our Bivou Cafe, we are sorry to know that it didn't quite meet your expectations sometimes and the standard wasn't consistent. We are happy to say that the assistant chef, after a solid 2 months of intense training and practice, is now able to provide the same quality of food as the Head chef May. We care a lot about how guests feel about our food. Thank you for the kind words about our team.
