“The property was as described in the details. The extras provided (kayaks, tubes, wood for the fire pit) were a really nice touch, and the kitchen was well stocked with just about everything you could need. As mentioned by other reviewers, the noise from the road was more than expected, but was not bothersome when sleeping. “Very nice little place. Clean. The only trouble we ran into was that the "futons" are more like small "cots". My son and I visited the area to fish local streams. he is 25. I had the double bed. he was not comfortable in the small cot.Other wise, it was good. He didn't sleep well and it at least let me keep up with him for the weekend on the streams.”

“We stayed in a cabin so my comments only apply to our experience there., The property is very pretty, there is a pond or two, a shuffleboard course, a mini golf course and a playground or two. There was a pool but it was closed when we were there (late Sept). The two small issues that I would bring up are 1) the showers seem to be either completely hot or cold but nothing in between and 2) mattresses in the cabins are a bit stiff. Not a problem for us but it may be for others. ”

“The cabin was cozy and secluded - a great way to spend our anniversary! The weather wasn't great, but we were only 15 minutes from our favorite antique mall, and we spent the time at the cabin watching old movies on VCR, reading, and just relaxing on the porch. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessities we needed. ”

“We spent two nights to enjoy a full day in the state forests. The cabin was very clean. It's exactly as pictured. A small space with a couple beds and a table. The showers are a 2-3 minute walk from the cabin, or a shorter drive. The check-in/check-out process was very easy.”

“We reserved this house for a family trip to PSU for our daughter's graduation. It did not disappoint! The house is spacious and beautiful. Although it is almost a 40 minute drive to PSU, the ride is mostly highway and very easy. The house had a ton of plates, glasses, and spices/condiments which made making meals stress free. We would definitely rent this house again if in the area with family.”

I found the Mountain House, saw the photos and it looked like just what we needed. And the house didn't disappoint!
