Lisbon DownTown - Apartment in Historic Center

El apartamento está situado en el centro histórico de Lisboa, en el barrio de São Cristovão y São Lourenço. El apartamento está en el 1er piso de un edificio del siglo XVIII que fue construido después del terremoto de Lisboa en 1755 y ha sido recientemente renovado (2011). Estas obras se llevaron a cabo en el marco de un estudio de arquitectura.
El apartamento tiene un buena luminosidad y confort. Cuenta con conexión inalámbrica a Internet disponible en, e incluso televisión por cable. Aquí podrás tomar un café Nespresso o degustar una buena botella de vino portugués.
Esta zona está muy cerca del Castillo de San Jorge (10 minutos a pie) ya la misma distancia del río y el Bairro Alto. Es muy céntrico, ya que se encuentra en el corazón de la ciudad. Está muy cerca de la Plaza Rossio y Plaza de Figueira. Se encuentra a 1 minuto de la estación de metro de Rossio y también un aparcamiento. Tiene muchos medios de transporte disponibles justo al lado (metro, autobús, tranvía y taxi) y también el comercio diferentes, incluyendo un mini-mercado.
Es una zona muy tranquila y el edificio está situado en una típica escalera de acceso peatonal al castillo de San Jorge.

André, the host, was excellent. He picked us up at the airport and waited an extra 1 1/2 hours while we stood in a very long passport line. He was full of information about Lisbon.The location of the apartment is also excellent, right near the center of the city with good access to attractions, transportation, restaurants, shops, etc. Just around a few corners from the street on a pedestrian alley in a quiet neighborhood at the base of the hill below the castle.The apartment is typically small but clean, well appointed and sufficient for a couple.Guests with mobility issues should know that you are required to climb a few short flights of stairs to access the apartment from the street, and it is on the first floor up a tight inside stair. André was there on check-in to help with luggage, however, and our 70 year old knees were up to the task.In all, a great choice for central Lisbon.

We had an amazing time staying at André’s unit in Lisbon. André is the perfect example of how every host should treat their guests—he picked us up at the airport, left us wine, delicious pastries, and a special Port that we absolutely loved. He was always available if we needed anything. The apartment is in a great location, perfectly situated between Lisbon’s main neighborhoods.There were occasionally some homeless people outside the building, but they never interacted with us or caused any issues. The unit also got a bit warm during the heatwave, but we expected that given the weather and lack of AC.Overall, it was a fantastic stay and a big part of why we loved Lisbon so much. Highly recommend!

Good apartment, unsafe location.

Lisbon is a beautiful city and we had some memorable moments. Not the least of which were our culinary adventures. We had the best food of our entire trip in Lisbon, thanks in part to Andre’s recommendations. Andre was very helpful and his small apartment lived up to expectations: it was nicely decorated, well appointed and equipped. The problem was the location. The apartment was in an unsafe area of town. It was tucked in a quiet backstreet just off the main drag, which seemed very appealing to the less fortunate members of Lisbon’s society. When we first arrived, there were about 5 people strewn about the steps: one was totally prone - presumably asleep - the others were sitting on the steps in various stages of inebriation or intoxication from alcohol and/drugs. A M/F couple were sitting on a step exactly outside our front door and were still there when we returned from dinner later that evening. A couple of males were there the following night and tried to engage us in conversation while we struggled to unlock our door. Throughout the 1st two nights there was considerable noise outside, mostly loud shouting of a profane nature. This cleared on the 3rd and 4th nights, presumably because police attended a domestic disturbance and frightened the street people away. But the damage was done. We were apprehensive about returning to the apartment at any time of day but especially after dark. We witnessed two males urinating against the walls which created an unpleasant odor.

Great location and matches description

Appartement is spotless, as in photos. Small but big enough for 2. Comfy bed. Left extra bottle of wine and provided ample tourists details picked us up complimentary at airport upon arrival. Easy communication and accommodating. Central located and can do most of the visits by feet. The only negative was few couple junkies down the street shouting during the day (only). As a couple we did not feel threatened but we wouldn’t have felt comfortable with younger kids.

Little gem in a big city

This is a wonderful, comfortable home well stocked with anything you might need. It is so easy to walk or tram anywhere in Lisbon. Grocery and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Andre is a fabulous host picking us up at the airport and providing a full day private tour. Everything rates an excellence! We would be so fortunate to stay here again.
