Estupendo

Piso muy acogedor estupendamente situado, muy céntrico. Maria Cristina es una fantástica anfitriona que nos dejó muchas cosas para desayunar como recibimiento. Por poner alguna pega, el agua de las duchas no tragaba bien Repetiremos!

El piso de Cristina nos encantó. Fuimos dos matrimonios con nuestros hijos. El piso es tal y como se describe en esta página, incluso mejor. La anfitriona es encantadora y nos dió un trato estupendo. Todo estaba muy limpio, funcionaban todos los electrodomésticos y estaba bien situado. Con parada de taxi cerca y supermercados. La ropa de cama y las toallas en perfecto estado. Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.

Delightful, centrally located apartment

This charming apartment was a lovely home for our family during our stay. With plenty of nearby coffeeshops, restaurants, bars and transit, we were never bored. The apartment is an easy walk to the Santos light rail station, which easily and cheaply connected us to the metro and other outside-the-city destinations. Although the neighborhood had a few lively nights during our stay, we were able to keep the noise out by using the doors that block off the floor to ceiling windows. Having so many bedrooms and two bathrooms helped our group (8 people) fit easily and comfortably and having a kitchen handy was a great help.

Great stay in Lisbon

The house is located in the heart of the city. Perfect for walking to most sites in the area. Host was very welcoming. She organized the transport from the airport for our group. Would stay here again.

great location and friendly host

if you need space this is optimal. many rooms with a variety of set ups, 2 baths and a couple of couches to hang out during hot afternoons. It's so close to the ocean that the lack of AC wasn't a problem when it was very hot during the day. the location makes the city within walking distance with quaint restaurants and shops near you and transportation so very close. A couple of bumps with the washing machine and other stuff but nothing deal breaking and Maria was so helpful with her helper who solved the issues. Perfect for a group. go to dear breakfast down the street.

Wonderful stay in lovely neighbourhood for large group

The home is perfect for large groups. Lots of nice restaurants and cafe's/supermarkets nearby. Short walk into town, markets and to the train station. Felt very safe, but lively, with a bit of noise at night. Maria communicated really well and was very kind. She let us checkout a little late and that was super helpful. Kitchen is well appointed. Beds not too bad. Overall, highly recommend!

Lovely Lisbon

Maria is an excellent hostess and left a nice bottle of wine and some fruit in the refrigerator for us. The apartment was spacious for our group of 5, with a well appointed kitchen and a washing machine which was much appreciated. The location is excellent, very walkable with many good restaurants and shops close by. We had a bit of trouble with the water heater, but Maria was very responsive and gave us some tips to get it working properly. We would definitely stay here again.

Third time the charm!

The historical charm of the apartment and location has kept us coming back. Great local restaurants, close to groceries and a short walk to Santos train station for a day at the beach. Easy access to all modes of transportation to explore Lisbon. Maria Cristina is a very helpful host and responds quickly. Another great stay!

The perfect apartment for a perfect stay in Lisbon. Lisbon shimmered beautifully and we packed a lot in each day before retiring to the handily-placed and cool apartment. Maria Cristina proved to be a helpful owner while the beds were comfy and the living room cosy. There’s a bar below and the coffee maker proved temperamental but don’t let that put you off as it didn’t for us providing a 5star review.

Delusi dalla proprietaria

Purtroppo la vacanza non ha avuto un buon epilogo in quanto la proprietaria dell'appartamento ha ritirato tutta la cauzione adducendo danni all'appartamento non contestatici di persona in quanto nonostante il checkout programmato, la stessa non si è presentata all'appuntamento. Solo dopo la nostra partenza la proprietaria ha denunciato danni che non abbiamo arrecato. La mancata presenza della proprietaria in fase di checkout è grave in quanto gli ospiti non hanno la possibilità di obiettare alle osservazioni. Pertanto la nostra esperienza è fortemente negativa.

5 stars from Sweden

We, 5 ladies from Sweden, lived in Maria Christina´s flat for 4 days 1-5 Sept 2019. The flat had a good location, was nicely furnished and well equipped with everything needed for our stay. The owner of the apartment was very helpful with different matters such as booking a privat trip to Sintra including a nice sightseeing along the coast back to Lisbon. She also made a reservation to a really nice restaurant where we enjoyed an amazing Fado show. Thanks Maria Christina for a really nice stay in your flat! Eva Ingrid Ulla Britt Ingbritt

Séjour appréciable, mais...

Accueil agréable de la part de Maria-Cristina Vidal après avoir reçu au préalable par courriels des conseils avisés et des propositions judicieuses pour préparer le séjour. L'arrivée se double de surprises cachées dans le réfrigérateur de la cuisine ainsi que du nécessaire pour le petit-déjeuner du lendemain matin. L'appartement est confortable et spacieux: à dix personnes, on ne se marche pas sur les pieds. Il reste frais même quand le mercure monte bien haut à l'extérieur. On ne se trouve pas très loin du centre de Lisbonne qu'on peut gagner à pied plutôt aisément quand on aime se balader mais si on préfère, les premiers transports en commun sont en bas de la rue. Un seul bémol. L'appartement est situé au-dessus d'un bar de nuit bruyant le week-end, beaucoup plus calme lors des ouvertures en semaine mais qui peut gêner des occupants au sommeil léger (fermeture à 2 heures). Hormis cet inconvénient, notre séjour a été bien appréciable.

Très bel appartement authentique, très bien situé. Agréable pour un groupe (nous étions neuf) sans se gêner. La propriétaire est une personne très agréable, petite attention appréciable, petit déjeuner prévu pour le lendemain de notre arrivée. Rapport qualité prix très bien, nous recommandons cette adresse, et peut être reviendrons nous pour un futur séjour.

Schöne Altbauwohnung in perfekter Lage

Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und super ausgestattet. Die Vermieterin Maria Cristina ist sehr nett. Alle Absprachen haben perfekt geklappt, von der Taxiabholung vom Flughafen bis zur Vorbereitung der Betten nach unseren Wünschen. Der Kühlschrank war bei unserer Ankunft gefüllt, sogar Duschgel und Shampoo war vorhanden. Die Wohnung liegt zentral, es gibt viele Bars in der Nähe, U-Bahn in 15 Minuten erreichbar.

Great location and wonderful host

We very much enjoyed our stay in Lisbon. The apartment was great for our nine people group of three families. Cristina was very accommodating with our late arrival into Lisbon. She greeted us in person to show us around the apartment and make sure we were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee and basic pantry items and she provided a generous breakfast for us the first morning. When ate in, the living/dining room was spacious enough for everyone to be comfortable eating or just hanging out together. However, we didn't do much cooking because the neighborhood was full of great restaurants within walking distance. There is a little pharmacy on the corner which was very helpful when the baby in our group came down with a cold. The Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery were only about a 10 minute cab ride (or slightly longer by tram/bus/walking). St. George Castle was about 15 minutes away. It was a great central location. If you are a very light sleeper, there is a wine bar downstairs that can be a bit noisy on weekends, but it didn't bother anyone in our group. I brought earplugs (which I always do when traveling in a group) and I had no problem getting comfortable and falling asleep after a long day of sight seeing. We loved our stay - great, neighborhood, great location, great host! We would definitely book this apartment again for a future visit.

Elegant -- spacious -- perfect location with a perfect host

This would be 5 stars except for one aspect over which the owner has no control, described later. The apartment is absolutely stunning -- a venerable building in a historic area, but with all modern comforts. We were a large (8) adult family group, and we found the location perfect -- convenient to public transportation (including the #28 Tram which is a big attraction for visitors) and within walking distance of many interesting areas. The neighborhood itself is not a highly touristed area, with a lively, hip vibe, with many wonderful restaurants, cafes, markets, bakeries etc right there. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed, which suited our group because we enjoyed spending time together in the apartment. Maria Cristina is the perfect host -- she was extremely responsive and helpful, recommending a driver from the train station, and responded to all messages very promptly. As mentioned above, the one problem we had was with a new music club downstairs that apparently had opened a few weeks earlier -- the music was very loud, very late, as well as loud clubgoers outside, making it impossible to sleep. We complained to Maria Cristina and she pursued the matter with the club. It wasn't as bad the next two nights, but it was still a loud scene. I really hope this situation can be resolved, because aside from that I cannot recommend this apartment, or Maria Cristina, highly enough.

Perfect location, generous hostess, gorgeous apartment with plenty of space. The apartment is clean, spacious, well-decorated, and perfectly accommodated our reunion of five childhood friends. Maria Cristina was easy to communicate with, left us breakfast and a bottle Of wine and gave us great information about where to go. We are so grateful to have found this house!

Excellent apartment to stay in Lisbon!

This apartment was spacious, clean and central to all Lisbon has to offer. I highly recommend it. We were a party of 9 and had plenty of space. Maria Cristina was an excellent hostess. She made herself available if you had questions and gave excellent ideas of where and what to do while in Portugal. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back again!

Séjour fantastique

L appartement de Cristina superbe, bien placé, tout équipé en produits cuisine et salle de bain . L accueil de Cristina extraordinaire avec vin portugais, fruits petit déjeuner de bienvenue d une rare gentillesse et disponibilité, très attentionnée envers nous. Elle nous a trouvé des chauffeurs de taxi pour l aéroport qui nous attendaient et c était très confortable pour nous aussi et le retour pareil, femme de ménage quand on lui a demandé aussi disponible Bref un régal et une propriétaire exemplaire je recommande les yeux fermés cet appartement et je remercie Cristina pour son accueil chaleureux et sa disponibilité
