NOS HA PARECIDO UN SITIO ENCANTADOR, EN EL CENTRO HISTÓRICO DE SINTRA- CON UNAS VISTAS ESPECTACULARES Y CERCA DE TODO TIPO DE SERVICIOS. ADEMAS EN UN INTERVALO DE 30 MINUTOS PODÍAS ESTAR EN VARIAS PLAYAS ENTRE SINTR Y CASCAIS. UNA MARAVILLA- TOTALMENTE RECOMENDABLE.

Great Location

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment right in the middle of it all. There is a beautiful view of the palace from the apartment. The space was well equipped with everything that we needed. Please note that the apartment is up about 2.5 flights of stairs and there is not an elevator. The tourist office staff helped us carry our luggage up to the rental unit and provided good advice on transportation to the further sites.

Perfect Location

This lovely apartment is right in the center of Sintra, where you can walk (or catch the bus) to anywhere in town. You look out from the third floor onto the National Palace and plaza in front if it, which is full of life, yet when you close the windows, it's very quiet. It's beautifully furnished with art and pottery, comfortable and nicely provisioned with dishwasher, washer/dryer and starter coffee and condiments. The local contact met us, instructed us in the appliances, and made us feel welcome. A very nice find!

Best view in town

The property was very clean. Great location for all the palaces and fantastic view. If you plan to eat in you will need to bring groceries with you as there is no grocery store in the old town, nearest one is opposite the town hall in Sintra. We loved staying at this apartment, so beautifully set out and we would definitely stay again if we were in that area.

Zimmer mit Aussicht

Jeder, der den Filmtitel kennt, ahnt, dass es sich um einen traumhaften Ausblick handeln muss, oder? Mehr als alle Vorgänger braucht man also nicht zu sagen - außer: überwältigend und beneidenswert! Herr Erler half uns beim unkomplizierten Check-in; auch der Abschied funktionierte ganz einfach via Whatsapp. Wir waren mit dem Auto in Sintra, was eine echte Herausforderung ist, weil es - so nah am Palacio Nacional, keine kostenlosen Parkplätze gibt. Betonung auf: KEINE. Die Wohnung im Dachgeschoss ist über zwei Treppen zu erreichen (vorne raus ist das Niveau niedriger als am Hang, wo der Eingang in einer kleinen Travessa liegt), nicht viele Stufen, aber diese sind auch nicht ganz ohne. Wir liebten unser kleines Refugium und eroberten uns endlich einmal in aller Ausführlichkeit Sintra: Palacio Nacional, Palacio da Pena, Serra de Sintra und - absolutes Highlight für Romantiker und Pflanzenfreunde: Palacio e Parque Monserrat! Unten im Haus kann man sehr gut Portweinproben machen, fragen Sie nach Carlos; und zum Abendessen haben wir sehr die angenehme Atmosphäre des "Romaria de Baco" genossen, samt Küche und Keller. Wir kommen wieder! Danke, Frau Stapf (und Herr Erler) für diese Gelegenheit.

O apartamento é fantástico! Parece que voltámos atrás no tempo, enquadrando-se de forma magnifica na magia de Sintra. Localiza-se no centro de Sintra e tem uma vista maravilhosa para o Palácio Nacional. A decoração é espetacular e a cozinha está bem equipada, tendo inclusive uma máquina de café da nespresso. Adorámos a nossa estadia!

Beautiful view and comfortable.

We were in Sinatra during the month of January. Evenings and Mornings were very chillly; however, the bedrooms were warm and cozey. The apartment is very comfortable and well appointed. You have a clear view of the National Palace and the square in front of it. Easy walking distance to primary shopping, 15 minutes from the train station, feet away from the buses that take you to the major tourist sites. Management was very responsive to our needs and gave marvelous references for dining. Romania de Baco was a restrraunt next to the Tourist Information office that is superb with wonderful wine collection and superb wait staff. Management helped with taxi reservations and more. Take warm clothes, pj's in particular, for when the sun goes down but couldn't ask for a better location or more well appointed apartment with a view in the historic district of Sinatra. There are 35 narrow steps to get up the stairs to the apartment so not for individuals with mobility issues.

Great stay!

We appreciate the atmosphere, the decor and how sweet Christiane was to us even though we never got to meet her in person. She is a great host who thinks of everything in detail. She provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. For instance, she had detergent for laundry, washer/dryer. And it was a very nice surprise to find a bottle of welcoming Port wine. Beautiful views. The bed was so comfortable that it felt like sleeping on a cloud. Great stay!

Séjour atypique et formidable

Juste en face du chateau, en plein centre ville. Appartement typique, ancien mais très confortable. Accueil chaleureux et très sympathique. Propriétaire très disponible. Très bien placé pour visiter le centre de Sintra mais aussi les alentours. Place de parking disponible gratuitement uniquement le soir après 20h, sinon impossible de se garer.

Charmante Wohnung in perfekter Lage

Wir haben die 4 Tage in Casa Christiane sehr genossen. Die Begrüßung von Christiane Stapf war sehr herzlich; wir haben uns nicht wie zahlende Touristen, sondern wie Gäste gefühlt. Bereits vorher wurde schnell und ausführlich auf unsere Fragen geantwortet. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und mit Liebe zum Detail passend zur Umgebung eingerichtet. Die Aussicht auf den Paco Real ist grandios! Er scheint zum Greifen nah! Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist gut. Nur mit der Dusche hatten wir kleinere Probleme. Das lag aber vielleicht an uns. Insegsamt ein wunderschöner unvergesslicher Aufenthalt!

Very central and lovely view of the palace

The apartment is very central to all things Sintra - it's right in the middle of the historic center, and right across the street from the Sintra Palace. It's also very close to the circuit buses that go to all the main attractions in the area. Full apartment is wonderful and although right in the main square which can be very loud during the day, it's actually quite peaceful at night. Christiane was very responsive to messages and Mr Erler, who handled the check in, was very kind and helpful in providing tips on what to do in the area. Highly recommend staying here!

Location and comfort!!

This is a excellent place to stay. Check in was easy by wonderful friendly people who made you feel right at home. They have a shop near by that was easy to pop in with questions. The establishment we stayed at was directly across from national palace so beautiful view and great location. Perfect place for a tourist location if you want to get out and do things. Beautiful town to stay in. We stayed a week and still could of been longer. Very busy village so if lots of people bother you then don't stay here. This was perfect for us. We loved all the activity right outside our door!! Thankyou for the cozy lovely homey place to stay that had everything we needed!! We would love to visit again.

Check in was easy, our host was very friendly. The apartment is in the top floor or the most central building in town. Loved the apartment and Sintra. We decided to see Lisbon from Sintra since we are so close to the train. Ideal spot for exploring.

Lovely Sintra

Excellent communications with Christiane (owner) via email from the onset. We were met by Mr Erler upon arrival. He is a warm and friendly individual and a pleasure to deal with. The apartment building is a short 15 minute walk from the train station and is directly across from the Sintra palace (the view from the living room balcony). This makes the area bustling and noisy with tourists during the day but a quiet and calm place by evening. There is easy access to the markets in the 'real' town and the attractions of the Palace of Sintra, Pena and the Castle of the Moors. (Go first thing to avoid the tourists! The apartment is located at the top of the building via stairs (no elevator) and is very clean and well appointed. It has a cosy family feel to it . No TV but excellent WiFi reception We would book this location again and would recommend it to others.
