Ideal for couples or solo travellers, this apartment features a practical open-plan layout. The sleeping area, subtly separated from the kitchen by an elegant wooden slat partition, is equipped with a comfortable double bed and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. The space benefits from excellent natural light through the large French doors, which offer a picturesque view of the traditional Lisbon street.

The kitchen, which stands out for its beautiful mosaic tile floor, is fully equipped and ideal for preparing all your daily meals. In addition to basic crockery, it has a hob, oven, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. Next to it, you'll find a charming table with two chairs to enjoy your meals.

The bathroom has all the amenities, including towels and toiletries for your convenience and a washer-dryer.

Given its location in the authentic neighbourhood of Alfama, please note that driving and finding parking in the area can be a challenge, due to the narrow and steep streets characteristic of this historic neighbourhood.

This accommodation places you in the beating heart of the most authentic Lisbon. The energy of the neighbourhood is absolutely magical and unmistakeable: Portuguese cobblestone streets, colourful azulejo-tiled facades, a genuine local community feel and the distant sound of Fado echoing through the alleyways of Alfama at nightfall. You will literally be just steps away from some of the capital's most imposing monuments, the majestic National Pantheon, and you'll have the iconic Tram 28 passing right at your door!

Situated on this historic hill (between Alfama and Graça), the proximity to Lisbon's historic centre is unbeatable. From home, you can explore the city's greatest wonders on foot: get lost in the medieval labyrinth of alleyways, walk up to the imposing São Jorge Castle and enjoy unforgettable late afternoons at the Portas do Sol or Senhora do Monte viewpoints. A short and scenic walk downhill will easily take you to the cosmopolitan Baixa Pombalina and the stunning Praça do Comércio, bathed by the Tagus river.

Beyond living the Lisbon essence, this location is an excellent strategic base for discovering the surroundings. Being very close to Santa Apolónia Train Station and with quick access to Rossio and Cais do Sodré, you can easily take short trips (about 40 minutes) to Portugal's most sought-after attractions: immerse yourself in the mysticism of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its enchanting palaces (such as Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira), or take the coastal train for a day of sun and glamour in the charming village of Cascais. It is the perfect starting point for an unforgettable tourist and cultural experience!

The property is located in the historic neighbourhood of Alfama, in Lisbon.

The area is very well served by public transport. Tram 28 (Eléctrico 28E) stops right next door, connecting Alfama to Chiado, Estrela and Prazeres — one of Lisbon's most iconic routes. Several bus lines also serve the area.

The nearest metro station is Martim Moniz (Green Line), about a 10 to 15-minute walk away.

By car, please note that Alfama has very narrow and steep streets, so we strongly recommend using public transport, Uber or Bolt within the neighbourhood.

Humberto Delgado International Airport (LIS) is approximately 15 to 20 minutes away by car.

This property has a self check-in system, and you will be asked to verify your identity before checking in. Check-in is available from 3 PM, subject to availability and confirmation.

Once the booking is confirmed, guests are required to fill in a registration form, in accordance with the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal.

There is a zero-tolerance policy regarding smoking on the property. If our team finds evidence that this rule has been violated (e.g. smell of smoke, ash, cigarette butts), we reserve the right to charge a minimum fee of €200 for smoking.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair usage policy for utilities will apply with a limit of €80.

On the first days, we provide basic amenities: shower gel samples, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, washing-up products and a bin bag.

Extra keys: €20 (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or door-opening service during the stay).
Extra cleaning with bed linen: the price of one cleaning fee.
Extra linen: €30 (Towels and sheets for 2 people, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).

Parking: Alfama is one of Lisbon's most traditional neighbourhoods, but it can be very difficult to navigate by car. We suggest parking at the Graça Car Park (EMEL), open 24 hours a day, 600 metres away. Enter the code PV8C+GH Lisboa in Google Maps to find it.
