Wind Damage The Forestry Commission planted a large area of upland in this area with Norway Spruce in the 1950s. Much of it is now ready for harvesting. In this photograph, timber has been felled to the right of the picture leaving remaining trees exposed to winds from the West. Their shallow rooting systems are unable to cope and some are uprooted.

Wind Turbine, Moelfre, Llangeler One of three on this hill. What I assume to be the control building is on the right. Elegant and useful structure or eyesore? Notable that all three photographs for this square so far are of the turbines.

Weekend bus trip
A very different experience, a shame it was November so the weather wasn't great, but still a great experience. Would definately recommend flip flops for the bus stop showers, as that floor was a tad painful. And a shame the shower with a view had suffered in the last freeze, would be great in summer. ...

The hotel was excellent. Lovely room, I was upgraded - a lovely treat. Dinner and breakfast were super and generous. Staff friendly and polite. A relaxing stay that was just too short!
