Le Secret de Saint-Jacques - Loches

Carved into the rock and meticulously renovated, this troglodyte home offers a unique experience in the heart of the Loire Valley. The local tufa stone creates a naturally cool atmosphere in summer—pleasant year-round—and fosters a relaxing environment.
The house is organized into three independent areas, all accessible from the outdoor courtyard. This unique layout allows guests to enjoy their privacy while also sharing convivial moments in the communal spaces.
Sleeping areas
The first area features a master bedroom with a 160 x 200 cm double bed, a private bathroom, and a separate toilet.
The second area is dedicated to sleeping and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests with:
one 140 x 200 cm double bed;
two double sofa beds;
This setup is ideal for families or groups of friends who wish to stay together while maintaining separate living areas.
Living area
The third area is designed for socializing. It includes a pleasant living room, a dining area, and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen where you can easily prepare your meals.
A second shower room is available; however, please note that it does not have hot water.
Outdoor areas
The house's standout feature is undoubtedly its panoramic terrace, furnished with an outdoor seating area. Here, you can share meals or simply relax while enjoying an exceptional view of the Royal Château de Loches.
Bed linen and towels are provided so you can travel light.
Self check-in is available to offer you complete flexibility.

Le Secret de Saint-Jacques enjoys a prime location, just a 10-minute walk from the historic center of Loches.
You can easily reach the medieval streets, the royal castle, the keep, shops, restaurants, cafés, and the famous Loches market, all while enjoying a quiet and peaceful setting.

The Loches train station is about a 15-minute walk away and offers easy access to Tours and the region's main towns.
There is a bus stop right next to the house.
The town center and the château can be reached in just 10 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by bike.
