“The Yearling will always have a very special place in my heart. It is old Florida charm at its finest. The cabins are not 5-star accommodations, but rather exactly what you would expect to find located on Cross Creek between Lake Orange and Lake Lochloosa. They are clean, comfortable and offer an excellent view of the creek. The neighborhood peacocks call to each other while birds and other wildlife occasionally travel by. My husband and I have stayed three times so far and would love to go back...

“The place was very nice and clean. It had all the supplies that we would need for our stay. The beds were wonderful. I had no issues falling asleep. The property was also very quiet. I only have one negative and it is not about the townhouse. The pool was clean and felt great I was just disappointed that there were not any chairs so you could lay out. I don't know if that was mentioned in the information or not. We had to go and buy items to lay on.”

“We have stayed with them before and loved it so much that we wanted to come back again. It was even better than we remembered and we can't wait to come back a third time. Very clean and love the fenced yard. Our dog Sammy had a good time chasing lizards! Ate breakfast out in the screened in porch every morning and it was so fun to listen to all the different types of birds and all the different woodpeckers too. Thanks for a relaxing time!”

“We stayed in the cottage while attending a UF graduation. It was a pleasure staying away from the congestion of G'ville. Instead, we enjoyed a beautiful drive via 441 right into town, about 15 minutes away. The mattresses were pretty soft - a 2 night max for me, thus the 4 stars. But the cottage was comfortable, we loved sitting on the front porch, enjoying the breeze & the scent of jasmine. The location didn't lend itself to taking walks, but there are nearby options for that.”

“This is a wonderful property and the host was extremely helpful, both before our arrival and during our time there. I stayed there with two colleagues during a conference at the university. The kitchen was perfect to have a lovely hot breakfast each morning and we were in easy walking distance from our work and restaurants.
