The cabin is cool. Had fun. Issues: called the first day to ask questions about gas fireplace in basement. The host stated they would get back to me and never did. There is a hornet infestation (in February) in the main bedroom. Saw one hornet the first night, two the second night, while packing to leave saw six hornets. Called to check out and communicate the issues with the hornets and the fireplace and the host hung up on me. I didn't want anything, had a friendly tone while trying to communicate with the host, and they hung up on me. There were missing remotes to the 2 fireplaces, missing remotes for the ceiling fans in kitchen and main living area. No batteries in TV remotes( I replaced the batteries). The downstairs bed is rock hard. The downstairs is extremely cold in the bedroom. The lighting in the basement is poor. There are dead cockroaches everywhere. The towels feel like sandpaper and the pillows are flat. Everything that is wrong with cabin could be fixed easily but the host does not communicate effectively.

We were extremely disappointed with this stay and ultimately had to check out early due to the condition of the property and lack of host response. Parking was difficult, and there was a garbage bag sitting outside before we even entered, which set a poor first impression. Inside, several things did not feel clean or properly maintained — the towels had a strong odor, the couch and pillows were dingy and looked worn, and some of the dishes were dirty upon arrival.The hot tub was a nice idea but felt outdated and needed repairs. The basement was extremely cold, and the bedroom only had sheer curtains with no proper blinds, which did not provide privacy.Most concerning were the pest issues. We encountered live wasps inside the cabin as well as multiple cockroaches (both live and dead), including in the bedroom and bathroom areas. While we understand that cabins can have occasional bugs, this went far beyond what we felt was acceptable or sanitary.We reached out to the host regarding these concerns and did not receive a timely response, which made the situation even more frustrating. Due to the cleanliness, safety, and communication issues, we would never stay here again. This property has potential, but significant improvements in maintenance, pest control, and guest communication are needed.

Driveway wasn't plowed wide enough to accommodate our small suv. Upon arrival we found the hot tub cover open and the temperature down to 96. Water level in the hot tub was well below the level of the top jets which made the tub unusable as the jets just splashed water everywhere. I called the management company as soon as we arrived and let them know what was going on was told they could have someone come and add water to the hot tub. I ended up using a 1 gallon pitcher on our 2nd day and added water myself over about 90 min period just so we could actually use it. Also found a dirty wash cloth on the floor of the upstairs shower. Not happy with the management company's response to our issues. Pretty much did nothing about our issues.

Cabin was nice and clean. Location was quiet & relaxing. We had a few issues. The basement was a really nice space that we wanted to spend some time in. We couldn’t get the heater or the TV to work. I messaged the host twice about the issues and never got a response. They had been very responsive when we checked in and had a few questions so I’m not sure what happened. The hot tub was operational but definitely in need of a repair or upgrade. Overall if the basement issues were addressed we would definitely stay again. Really great with a better hot tub!

We atayed at the Cavalier Cabin, it was so roomy, cozy, pet friendly, everything we needed was there, and lots of walking space. I absolutely loved it and me and my hubby and dogs will definitely be back. We loved the layout of the cabin and just had an extremely relaxing time. Thanks for also supplying games to play while there, we enjoyed that as well. Thanks again.

The cabin was spacious and clean. Very quiet location. Lighting in kitchen is a bit dark making it challenging to prepare meals inside. Outdoor gas grill burner elements rusted out and not working, and charcoal grill was missing grate making it unusable. Perhaps consider removing hot tub and providing more suitable outdoor cooking and sitting options. Otherwise, a great location while visiting Hocking Hills.

The cabin wasn't as clean as we expected. The Gas grill was in really bad shape as only two of the burners worked and they didn't work well. The grill should of been replaced a long time ago. Jacuzzi wasn't fully working. Sink in half bath was leaking. Bed was quite old(mattress). Shower in bathroom upstairs was hard to shut off all the way. Kitchen wasn't fully stocked as previous cabin's we have rented in Hocking Hills. The spiral staircase was difficult to go up and down.

Seems like the Cabin was a new build, but there were things that made it a 6/10 for us. There was an old bathtub right out front, the back fire pit only had the one chair, the burners on the grill are burned out.

Beautiful, well-appointed home that was perfect for our anniversary getaway. The pictures don’t do it justice. The two decks off the back of the house, the fire pit and swing, hot tub and hiking trail into the woods just added to the amazing experience we had. We are life-long Adirondack vacationers and this compared in every way. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our time here. We had come to catch up with a family member and his wife as well as explore the local area and do some hiking. Found plenty of interesting things in the surrounding areas and the hiking was incredible. The cabin was nice and view out back peaceful. We felt a few simple upgrades would have helped make our stay even better. The upstairs couch was super worn and sagged through the middle which was a bummer as we spent a lot of our visiting hours here as it was next to the kitchen. Need to replace the spoons in the silverware drawer. We found only two. The towels were very thin and shed pretty easily which we all got a lot of laughs out of as we were picking fuzz off each other after showering. The downstairs bed frame was shaky and creaky and we ended up placing mattress on floor to get some sleep. Lastly some dish towels and washcloths would have been helpful. All that being said we still liked the cabin and our stay here. None of the items listed were dealbreakers….just some things to consider for future guests.

We have stayed at a lot of different cabins in Hocking Hills,this was by FAR the worst. Bring an Army cot would be better than either of the beds we slept in. Thermostat was not working called about 30 mins after getting there said a guy would call us back NOPE never heard back from anybody. STAY away from this place Upstairs furniture was really bad Have throw better out . old bath tube setting in the yard. Was probably nice in it prime but that was a long long time ago. Not taken care of at all. Go somewhere else there are a lot of very nice cabins around that area for the same price. Patio cushions were black and molding

Check in there was supposed to be a lock box on the outside and there wasn't, we tried calling the property managers and couldn't get ahold of them so we sat there for awhile not knowing what to do. Took awhile to get back in touch with them to figure out how to get in the house. House was really nice, only issues was there was a lot of bugs, so seemed as wasn't vacummed recently in the corners of the floors. Might help to spray for bugs. Only other issue was the beds, they really need new frames on the beds. They were so loud and squeaky every time you moved in the night it would squeak so loudly so we didn't sleep that well with it being so noisy. Other than that the house is really cute and nice for the area.
