A great and safe location close to the most famous attractions. Initially we were concerned about not staying north of the River Thames, but we were wrong. We are in our 60’s and could walk to most of the attractions. There are an abundant number of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and grocery stores very close by. The apartment is about 500 feet away from the Southwark subway station serving solely the Jubilee line. That line connects to other subways/trains at different stations. If you use the Elizabeth Line from Heathrow Airport (LHR) don’t get off at Paddington and switch trains. Instead get off at the next station (Bond Street) and transfer to the Jubilee line which goes directly to Southwark. We arrived at LHR in the morning and the owner was very helpful, letting us drop off our luggage first and then contacted us as soon as the cleaning was done. A great experience! The apartment needs a little bit of a touch up here and there, especially the flooring, but it is quite reasonable for the price and the location. It would have been nice to have some dish towels. We had very nice weather and would have loved to sit outside more often, but the backyard/terrace is not very inviting. There was some noise at times from the apartment above. The pictures on the VRBO site show clear windows, but those have been replaced with privacy glass windows.A place we would rent again without hesitation.
