This property is a roomy basement bachelor apartment. There was no direct interaction with the host - keys were retrieved from an external lockbox (located very low to the ground and as a result somewhat difficult to open). Access is via the rear garden (through a gate with a pushbutton lock). You have to navigate a couple of short flights of steep stone stairs with no railings, tricky during inclement weather and at night (there are no external lights). They are especially challenging with heavy luggage. Entrance to the flat itself is via the French Windows. These are the only source of natural light but despite that the space did not feel gloomy or oppressive. The bed area is right by these windows, once passed it there is a seating area and thence to either the narrow kitchen or to the bathroom. The TV is mounted high on the wall so can really only can be viewed from the bed. There is not a lot of storage space, unfortunately; no closet or chest of draws. Some wall mounted hooks and a low open-faced storage rack is all that is available. The kitchen is modern and uncluttered with a induction stove/oven and a small refrigerator. It was lacking a some basics such as a microwave and toaster. As well the dishes, cups, glasses etc. were limited in number and seemed to be random items from a thrift store. The bathroom is roomy and modern and. the large steam shower was great. There is not a lot of air flow, however, so remains damp. All this to say it was a pleasant week's stay.
