Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. They are still recovering a bit from the storms past but longboat is a great local get away and this little place was very quiet and nice.

It was an excellent location with beach access that was basically private. Very few people even on days when the public beach was super packed. The resort had umbrellas and wagons for use and it was only a few steps from our room to the beach!

Favorite location atea

This was a great unit. Had everything we needed. I just wish the bed was larger. We did not sleep well because of the bed size!

The bed pictured in the details is not correct. Blanket had stain(photo attached) It was a joke. I think inflate-able mattress would have been an improvement. There was no support and when we laid down the bed basically folded into a V shape. We suffered through 1 night of the 4 booked. Got email from manager day after we left. No reply after with resolution or re-fund. There was a blood stain on blanket which i assume was from past guest as the frame corners were very sharp.

Great location

Everything was clean and neat. Bed has seen better nights and pillows were uncomfortable for sleeping.

Property was on the beach with beach chairs and umbrellas provided. The unit could have been cleaner. The widow AC cooled the room but was loud and ran constantly. The staff were wonderful and very helpful.

I was a little nervous when I saw some of the recent reviews saying the room wasn’t clean, but honestly this place was so nice! It’s not a brand new resort or anything, but if you’re just looking for a relaxing stay at the beach, this place is perfect! One review said there was mold in the shower, there’s not…the grout is just a little discolored and older, but it’s perfectly fine. I will definitely go back and rebook this resort again someday. The pool was really nice and I love that they provide beach chairs, umbrellas, pool noodles, etc., it made relaxing by the water so much more comfortable!

Lovely place, well situated. But needs to be deep cleaned.

The place was small, but perfect for us, the bathroom had mold in the shower and around the sink. I contacted the office and they told me to get some bleach and clean it myself, and that should take care of it. Will never stay there again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice room with everything needed for your stay. Love the decor, mermaid theme and bed was comfortable. There were enough towels for our stay and it was helpful to have beach towels provided. Room was clean and the AC worked well. Resort was clean and well kept. Pool was lovely and the rinse stations coming off of the beach were put to good use. It was helpful to have a wagon to bring luggage from the parking area to the room. I think that having chairs and umbrellas to use on the beach is wonderful and convenient, but the one recommendation would be to have someone take charge of them every day. At a previous resort we stayed at they were taken down to the beach every morning and set up with an umbrella and brought back in the evening. But here they are kept at the beach entrance and other visitors didn’t always put them back or remove their towels etc. Therefore there were sandy loungers laying wherever. Otherwise the beach was lovely. We would recommend this resort and room which is perfect for 2 people.

Longboat Key Vacay

The location was beautiful. Very peaceful and relaxing. The room....not so much. It was in desperate need if deep cleaning. It was not at all like the listing. There was a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender and fridge. The microwave was badly rusted so we didn't use it. Coffee maker was great, but they only provided 1 coffee mug. The shower had mold and could have been cleaned better. The place was dusty. We were provided a wisk broom and dustpan from the dollar store to sweep up tracked in sand....who wants to bend over and get on their knees to sweep the floor. Also the listing showed a small bar table with 2 bar stools to eat at....which was not in this room. There was absolutely no place to sit to eat or have coffee except on the bed. We went to Walmart and purchased to camping chairs so we could sit. The property itself is beautiful but the room sucked. We ended up leaving a day early.

"A" units are very very small rooms cluitered with kitchen items in a poor attempt to make it appear they're providing more. Bed was broken when we arrived and broke again during our stay. Queen beds shouldn't be supported by only 4 boards...there should be a box spring. Only redeeming quality was location and access to beach.

The only issue was the bed was quite flimsy and uncomfortable. There were no chairs or table. The room was small as an efficiency, so I understand that but perhaps add 2 folding chairs and/or two folding trays. One of us had to sit on the bed to eat and the other sat on the chair and we had to use the counter as a table. Overall it was a great experience, just a minor inconvenience.

We were in one of the smaller motel like rooms. There are 3 main issues with this rooms 1.there is no sink to go with the kitchenette! You have to use the bathroom sink, which seemed quite unsanitary, we were glad we only booked 3 days due to this! 2. It is Very dark! Even if you open a window, no light ( the view is of hedgerows) 3. There is one chair in the room. The bed could be moved over several inches and a small table and chair could be added, which would have been very convenient. Overall I would stay at the resort again, but NOT in the motel type room. Front desk staff was very friendly and the resort was clean overall.
