“Great place to stay. In a great location for walking holiday and visiting local attractions. Place was kept in excellent condition. Lovely views of the hills and to watch the sun go down on a night. Nice bottle of wine left by the hosts for your arrival. Left to you own devices by the owners unless you had a problem. Would definitely stay again. ”

“The property was spotless and very homely. Everything you need was there and also lovely fresh flowers, milk and biscuits on arrival. There was even treats for the dogs. The staff were lovely that we had met also. You definitely need to take a torch as its very dark at night trying to walk the dogs.”

“This review considers the amazingly low price we paid (£40), compared to other availability in the area. We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been. The rooms were warm and clean, and had been newly decorated, the bedding was clean and crisp. The breakfast was adequate, all self serve, tea, coffee, juices, cereals, packet meats and pastries. “Staff were exemplary and everything the room was spotless and bed very comfy. one criticism no complimentary water in the fridge and the furniture housing the fridge in need of repair ( doors wouldn’t close after opening). Meal in Fratello’s very good and staff very attentive.”

“Fantastic comfortable hotel - Lovely, tastefully decorated rooms which were warm, cozy and spacious . The staff were fantastic and friendly and extremely informative and helpful . We enjoyed our meals in the bistro including breakfast in 3 mornings and an evening meal - the food was delicious and every attention to detail was given. We were very impressed with all aspects of our stay and will definitely book again when back in Northumbria!”
