Terrible communication with homeowner , didn’t receive a response for 3 hours after check in time

Was unable to stay . Homeowner didn’t send code for entry. Reached out to homeowner via text , calls to phone numbers listed and to the number that was provide and the app , with no avail. Finally after being on the phone with for 2 hours VRBO agent ,was able to start a claim for cancelation & refund . Was told that the homeowner would have to approve funds because it was in the 24 hour window. I asked for a supervisor because i believe that's unacceptable given the fact that the homeowner is the reason we are in the situation. Vrbo was also trying to reach the homeowner without success. After 2 1/2 hours on the phone with VRBO agent l was issued a refund. The homeowner reached out via phone call & text 3 1/2 hours later with the access code to enter , and then had the audacity to send a notification that they had to cancel due to age restrictions. Kitchen nightmare

IF you plan on cooking at this place you need to bring your own kitchen supplies as they were very limited. Not enough of anything for the number of bedrooms in this place. This includes pots and pansThe back patio was dirty, later leaking from an outside pipe, over stuffed couches are not for outside use, gross! Beds were good, we had to scramble to find towels and soap for each bathroom but that's not so bad. The kitchen sink backed up and the owner didn't make an effort to get someone over to the house to fix it. Needless to say we will never rent this place again, as we didn't think the owner really cared about us or his place.

Softball tournament trip

There was plenty of room to spread out in the house. We loved eating outside under the back porch patio.The outdoor table fit my family and the chairs were more comfortable to sit in. It was really nice to have hand soap, dishwashing soap, laundry soap etc.in the house. The chairs in the house at the high dining room table were awful to sit in because when you sat in all four chairs you really sunk in which were not comfortable at all. We never sat on these chairs the rest of the week we were there due to safety issues. Please replace all four chairs before someone gets hurt in the dining room by the kitchen. When we first arrived, I noticed a big crack on the toilet tank in the master bathroom. It never did leak. Otherwise it was a wonderful house to stay in. We would stay again in this house. The best part of the house is how quiet it was especially at night.

Enough space for at least 5

Several colleagues and I stayed at this home. We enjoyed ourselves and the space is big with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Living room with a TV (we didn't use), kitchen with dishwasher and, a back yard. The two cars parked comfortably in the driveway and there is also street parking. Nice big fridge. The owners we friendly although in the beginning did seem to take a long time to respond. We had booked months in advance. A few issues - the backyard had inside furniture such as a large sofa covered with dust which we opted not to use but instead some of us lay on the grass in the sun. There was a large table that we used for dinner (5 of us) which was under an awning/roof extension that protected us from the elements i.e. rain. This was lovely but we had to clean the table and chairs prior to use because they were quite filthy. The kitchen had some funky overhead lights and then the main light stopped working. It was replaced but the replacement lights which are fluorescent had flickering/strobe light effect. The dining area is small and intimate breakfasts were had. Unfortunately, the dining chairs need to be replaced. They were cracked "pleather" and way past their use date. I assume it's a balance in terms of purchasing durable furniture but not too expensive and the risk that renters can be destructive. Other positives The neighborhood is very walkable and neighbors seem friendly. We even checked out the garage sale on the opposite side of the street.
