“It was very nice, clean and secluded from the city (which was very much needed). I enjoyed being able to hear the birds, and getting in touch with nature. Taking the kayaks to the lake as the sunset was we setting was a lovely view to just sit and watch. Will be sure to keep this place in mind!”

“We had the BEST time! I was very impressed with the accommodations and cleanliness. Our family enjoyed fishing, the hot tub, and all of the special little amenities Bella Vista had to offer. The area is "true nature" with high-speed country roads lined with tall trees, general stores, and deer sightings right when you enter. Highly recommend a stay for anyone that's looking to disconnect - but, still have all they need to have a good time.”

“There is almost no where to stay in Gilmer, but this cabin was perfect. You can hear the road noise, but it’s really not horrible. We have family of 6, with kids between the ages of 1-14. Everyone had their own bed, and our older kids thought the loft was really cool. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The A/C works great. My kids enjoyed walking the property too. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit family. ”

The location was just what we were looking for—on the banks of a slough that connected to Big Cypress Bayou. Only a couple of minor issues - the house is pretty close to the highway so there was some road noise but a fan in the bedroom provided enough white noise to cover it.
