    If you're dreaming of a relaxing, waterfront vacation home in the San Juan Islands, this rental house on Lopez Island might be perfect for you! It features a private sauna, deck overlooking Mackaye Harbor, a large yard with a fire pit, and the sandy shores of the harbor, which are just 50 feet away from the doorstep!



    Lopez Island is the third-largest of the San Juan Islands, and it is a particularly quiet and rural area. This home is on the southwestern end of the island, so you can fully enjoy the amazing view of the harbor. Most of the restaurants, shops, galleries, and cafes on this island are about 10 miles north, so you can enjoy the peaceful 15-minute drive into town while marveling at the spectacular scenery.



    You'll feel right at home in the charming, comfortably decorated house. The beautiful kitchen has everything you may need to whip up a hot breakfast or leisurely dinner, though you might prefer to eat outside on the huge deck or even picnic-style on the beach! The living room is a great space to play some board games, bring a DVD to watch, use the WiFi, or just sit in front of the wood stove and chat. With two bedrooms (each with a queen-size bed, plus a futon in the living room) and two and a half bathrooms, this house accommodates up to six guests.



    But make sure you check out the private sauna! After working up a sweat, feel free to sit outside on the deck in the gentle breeze to watch sailboats go by. When nighttime is near, make sure you leave time to watch the incredible sunset over the harbor. During the day, you may decide to wade through the water, start a fire in the fire pit, or leave the house and adventure through the area either on foot, by bicycle, or in a car. You could even go for a walk on a scenic trail and look for wildlife--orcas are known to pass by the islands during the summer!



    This comfortable and warm home is an ideal place to stay while enjoying the San Juan Islands. You will be well-rested and ready to explore charming-and-rural Lopez Island or take a ferry to other nearby islands.

Property was nice, good outdoor space and had great sunset views but beware there is NO Sauna. Listing has it posted in two spots but it is crossed out in the welcome book and there is no kayaks/canoes available for use.

interiors were very clean. Everything we needed for our stay

The house is lovely for a relaxing getaway. Right on the beach for lovely misty morning walks. Close to a really great general store that sells locally raised meat and serves food and coffee.

Relaxing

What a beautiful place to spend a few days. My family and I totally enjoyed the whole experience. We were able to visit the parks, the village and to take walks along the water. We most enjoyed the opportunity to be together in a fabulous place.
