After mistakenly putting in the wrong month for the rental, the host was very kind to say that we could change the date. I offered several other alternative dates but his initial response was the last I received. I spoke several times to VRBO Customer Service and they tried as well to contact the host by both phone and email—all unsuccessfully. So I lost my initial deposit and did not stay at the house. An earlier reviewer commented that the owner was unresponsive. I would say that is an understatement. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!
