We had an excellent stay at The Cooperage. Kyle and Kenzie were incredibly responsive and even met us at the property when we arrived, sharing great local restaurant recommendations. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and perfectly suited for our group of seven (three couples and one single). The location couldn’t be better—walking distance to restaurants, tasting rooms, and bars—yet still felt private and comfortable. Highly recommend this rental, and we’d absolutely stay here again.

We stayed at The Cooperage with a group of friends for a celebration and bourbon tastings, and it was absolutely perfect for the occasion.Every bedroom having a unique style but also a king-sized bed was a huge plus, making it comfortable and fair for all guests. The entire space is one of the most thoughtfully designed and purpose-built VRBOs we have ever visited. Everything from the layout to the decor feels tailored for bourbon-themed gatherings.The location is also fantastic. It's tucked into a quiet section of NuLu, but still within easy walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and bars. Plus, it's just a short rideshare to pretty much anywhere in the city.The vibe is stylish yet cozy, and the hosts were wonderful, responsive, helpful, and genuinely easy to work with. If you're planning a group trip to Louisville, especially anything bourbon-related, The Cooperage should be at the top of your list.Highly recommend!

Great place

Very nicely appointed and comfortable spot. Easy access and great hosts to deal with. Area is undergoing change which is great but this is the best place on the block. Really enjoyed the stay - will book it again for sure!!

Great communication with owners. Very nice place.

We stayed there with 2 other couples to do some Louisville attractions such as distillery tours and Churchill Downs. The house was great. Still seemed new and well-decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped. The gathering space was great. Kenzie was very responsive when I had questions before and during our stay. I would highly recommend this house.

Birthday Getaway

Excellent property located within walking distance of all the action and activity in NULU. Very well designed and decorated with a whiskey theme. All of our guests truly impressed. Street parking only but was not an issue even when it got busy in the area on Saturday.

Perfect Stay!

This was the perfect fit for our group of 8 for my husband’s 40th birthday trip. Beautiful and spacious home, easy check in and hosts were SO helpful in answering questions about the area and providing recommendations. They went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The location was walkable to great spots in NuLu and a short ride to Whiskey Row.

Perfect Bourbon Base

A very well thought out new place. We loved how it was appointed in a very classy way for bourbon lovers. Very well appointed. Had everything we needed and then some. Outdoor space is really nice. And the den is awesome. Bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. And the entire place was spotless. Communication was excellent. Great hosts. It is very close to downtown, so there were some noises at night - street noise, distant train, etc. So note that if you are a super light sleeper. But that would not prevent us from staying here again. A very lovely place. Thank you!

Exceeded our expectations. The details around the house were amazing. We also appreciated the bar utensils and glasses. We walked around the neighborhood for to shop, drink, and eat.!! Would stay here again.

Awesome property! Beds were very comfortable, and “black-out” curtains proved very effective. Enjoyed hanging out back with the fire pit after a fun evening in NuLu. Most everything you’d want/need is w/in walking distance.

A Jewel Downtown in NULU

The Cooperage is a fantastic property! It is one of the best short term rentals we have ever stayed in. It is a new home, extremely well appointed and professionally decorated. It could be featured in an interior design magazine. It was a perfect location in downtown Louisville as our home base for our weeklong Bourbon Trail tour. Kyle and Kenzie are wonderful hosts. They are very friendly, caring, communicative, and insured we had a pleasant stay. They checked on us several times throughout the week to ensure everything was going well and we were having a good time. They have appointed the property with everything you need, including incredibly comfortable beds, linens, and furniture. The kitchen is extensively equipped with gourmet, cookware, dinnerware, bare ware, and appliances. We enjoyed hanging out in the large comfortable living room with the 85 inch smart television. The backyard fire pit and chairs were great on a cool evening as we enjoyed bourbon acquired on our bourbon tour, along with a good cigar. There are plenty of cleaning supplies, dishwashing and laundry tablets, and paper products. They even set out a nice selection of teas, honey, sweeteners, and a local bag of coffee. The details in the fit and finish of the property are well appreciated, including little details like soft, closing toilet lids, nightlights, tissue boxes, wooden coat hangers, luggage buddies, endless hot water, and great Wi-Fi. I highly recommend this property!

Bourbon Trail Trip

This was an outstanding property in a great location. Everything was new and maintained. The hosts were incredibly helpful throughout booking and had an extensive/detailed list of recommendations in the area that we used throughout the trip. Lots of bars/restaurants within walking distance, and many more just a short drive/uber away. Some of us are already looking into staying again on our next trips. Thanks for everything!

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!

Wow! Simply put, this is a must stay, and it is one of the best properties we’ve stayed in over our many years of travel. It felt very spacious for the 8 of us and we had everything we needed - and then some. It's one street behind the main strip, so we walked to a number of great distilleries, dinner spots and bars. The backyard was stocked with wood, so the fire pit and glass of bourbon were perfect to cap off the night. Everyone in our group wants to repeat our stay at The Cooperage next year!
